The Challenge!

• Develop a “out of the box” working process within Contract Manager to manage project materials for a large scale construction project.

Considerations• A Master Bill of Materials will be available and

updated on an ongoing basis.• Contract Management will be used to manage

Project Costs and Change Management• Existing Contract Manager User Interface will be

used, no new screens, applications etc...• Client Procurement System will be used to purchase

materials.

Considerations -cont• Contracting strategies will affect how Contracts are entered in

Contract manager, and how Materials are received, tracked and managed.

• Contractors will generate hard copy Receipt Reports which will be forwarded to the BMCD Materials Manager for verification and data input.

• Lot Control will be limited to Capital Equipment, Structures and Conductor.

• Contractors will generate hard copy Release Reports which will be forwarded to the BMCD Materials Manager for verification and data input.

• Tracking of material installation to the Unit of Property Level is required.
