Find us on Facebook under MAMS Parents The Program for Academic Achieve- ments has been updated to include three tiers. They are: High Honor, Honor & Merit The High Honor, Honor and Merit Roll Program runs from the 1st marking period through the 3rd marking period. All High Honor, Honor & Merit students will receive a certificate (coupon) and magnet. Esposito’s Pizza will once again be sponsoring the 1st marketing period Academic Achieve- ment students. Magnets and a coupon for Esposito’s Pizza will be sent home in mid December. All achievements High Honor, Honor and Merit can be found on the bottom of your students report cards. Below are the qualifications for each Honor. High Honor Roll – 93% or higher average; no grade below 90 Honor Roll – 90% or higher av- erage; no grade below 85 Merit Roll – 85% or higher aver- age; no grade below 80 We thank all of our students for their patience during this time and applaud them for their well deserved achievements. Mrs. Jennifer Facchini 6th GRADE ADVISOR NEWS This year, Sixth Graders have the oppor- tunity to be selected by their classroom teachers as "Student of the Month" from October through June. Students of the Month are selected for excelling in core subjects, going above and beyond in class, and/or being good citizens. Each student will receive a certificate for being select- ed. Four lucky winners will receive a super cool t-shirt, generously donated by the PTSO. Our October "Students of the Month" have been chosen and are featured on the Sixth Grade bulletin board. Novem- ber Students of the Month will be notified at the beginning of December. The Sixth Grade will again be participating in the Six Flags Annual Reading Challenge We hope to see all students participate this year and an earn a certificate of participa- tion and the free ticket! Paperwork will go out around Winter Break and is due back by the end of February. Tickets come in sometime around late April. -- Ms. Raiola PHILLY PRETZEL DAY 12/2 For only $1 your child can buy a Philly pretzel at the end of the day. Thank you for support- ing the MAMS PTSO! HOLIDAY HANGOUT 12/9 I have some exciting news, the PTSO has decided we will have a Winter Holiday Hangout Evening for the students on 12/9. Tickets will be $5 each. Highlights of the evening will in- clude , DJ , Holiday Photo op’s , Hot Cocoa and Cookies , and an ugly holiday sweater/ t-shirt con- test!
