Receiving Communion: If you do not presently receive communion when you come to Mass and desire to do so, I would very much like to speak with you. It may be as simple as having your marriage blessed in church or receiving the sacra-ment of reconciliation. Please call or text me at 270-863-1596 or email me at [email protected].—Fr. Tony

Altar Society: No meetings in July & August!

+ Red Cross: The America Red Cross comes to St. Joseph several times each year. In 2017, 197 units of blood was collected here. Thanks to everyone who has donated. The next time the Red Cross will be at St. Joseph is on Wednesday, July 25 from 12:00 noon until 5:00 pm.

Vacation Bible School: This past week we had

an amazing VBS entitled “Shipwrecked”. Our

children went on an adventure to an uncharted

island where kids are rescued by Jesus! Our

kids learned that Jesus carries them through

life's storms. The children sang their new

learned faith that “To every storm of life, I know

you’re by my side. So, I am holding on. You nev-

er let go of me.” We had about 15 adults, 15

youth and 60 plus children participate. It was

an awesome week! Thanks to everyone who

helped out.

Rosary on the Square: The Knights of Columbus would like to invite you to join them on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 10am in front of the sheriff’s office on the square in Leitchfield as we come together to pray for our country and all those who protect & defend it.

Sympathy: Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Elmo Pierce who passed away. He is the grandfather of Keycia Collard. May he rest in peace.

Rediscover Jesus: Get answers to life’s tough questions, and encounter Jesus—and yourself—like never before. Order 6 copies of Rediscover Jesus for just $18 and share them with your fam-ily and friends. Visit Dynamic Catholic .Com to learn more.

Make A Retreat: The Passionist Nuns Monas-tery near Whitesville is a great place to make a silent retreat. You can join the nuns for any of their seven times for prayer. The cost is $90 per day. For more information see Fr. Tony or go to their website at passionistnuns.org. To schedule a retreat call (270) 302-8023 or email [email protected].

Cemetery Records: We are entering our ceme-tery records into an online software program. If you would be interesting in helping with this da-ta entry please contact Fr. Tony.

School Recycling: St. Paul School recycles the following items either for cash or points to pur-chase items. You may drop these items off at the back of church. *Aluminum Cans-Money collected from the sale of cans is used to buy tro-phies for our Annual St. Paul Car Show, one of our biggest fundraisers. *Computer Ink Car-tridges-We send these into the Funding Factory for cash. *Box Tops for Education-Send in the labels, and we get 10c per label. *Labels for Education-Send in the labels, and we get points for each label. We can purchase items with the points. *Coke Rewards-Save the codes on the plastic lids or the code on the inside of the box-es. Any coke product has these codes. We use these points to purchase items for the school. *Stamps-Save postage stamps from your enve-lopes. We send them in, and they pay us cash for the ones they use. (It’s better to send in the entire envelope.)

Loving Our Neighbors Knows No Borders

Stewardship: Stewardship is a lifestyle, it’s not

a program or a process. It’s how we are called

to live our lives twenty-four hours a day, seven

days a week! It challenges us to live “God-

centered” lives, not “self-centered” lives. Reflect

on your daily activities, do you do them for the

glory of God or for the glory of your own

name?

Happy 4th of July On this day we cele-brate one nation under God. Join us for Mass at 7:30 am. God Bless America.
