Season 1 (Winter) December 14 – February 20 (First Contest Date – December 28) basketball, gymnastics, indoor track, swim/dive, wrestling
Season 2 (Fall) February 15 – May 1 (First Contest Date – March 1) cheer, cross country, field hockey, football, golf, volleyball
Season 3 (Spring) April 12 – June 26 (First Contest Date – April 26) baseball, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field

Upcoming Events for Seniors
Parent Boot Camp - (October - November) - in person or virtual; counselors give overview of what to expect for their child’s senior year
College Fair - at Spotsylvania Mall - TBD (usually in October)
Classroom Guidance - (September - October)
Senior Meetings - counselors will meet with every senior virtually to review their schedule, make sure they are meeting all graduation requirements and discuss plans after high school
Financial Aid Night - (Fall) - Germanna representative to talk about FAFSA

*Be prepared to discuss your plan during senior meetings with your school counselor

Get re-familiar with Naviance - You will use this program to add your college list, request transcripts and search for scholarships

If you are applying to college…Check to see if your colleges of interest use the Common Application, Common Black Application and/or Coalition Application - If so, begin creating accounts and start completing the application(s) should you choose to use any of the applications
*If you plan to apply to college during the Early Action/Early Decision window, work on the applications now*Applications can also be completed through the colleges’ portal

1. Complete and return and the Transcript Release Form to your School Counselor - Counselors are not able to release your transcript to anyone (colleges, trade schools, recruiters, etc. unless the form is on file)
*Transcript Release Form will be sent to your school email
*You can scan/email, fax or drop the form off at the school
2. If you are unsure about your career plans, take some assessments
