News and Information about Camden Catholic High School A Letter from the Rector VOL. 16 NO. 1 SPRING 2020 Dear CCHS Alumni and Friends, As we inch closer to spring we also begin to congratulate our class of 2020 on their college acceptances, scholarship offers and awards. It is a bittersweet time as we prepare to send our sen- iors off on their next chapter, but at the same time welcome our newest family members, the CCHS class of 2024. Thus is the cycle of Camden Catholic, which, as South Jersey’s flagship Catholic high school, has been welcoming new students every year since 1887. With our proud traditions of Honor, Faith and Loyalty as our foundation, we grow more impressed with each year’s freshmen as they embrace these ideals in their daily lives. With this in mind we hope you will consider joining us over the coming months to show your support for the Camden Catholic students who continue to live our proud traditions, 133 years after our founding. The Arts at CCHS is proud to present our 98th spring musical: Mary Poppins in March (yes, Mary will fly!), the 14th class of Hall of Fame inductees will be initiated in April, and the sixth Irish Giving Day takes place on St. Patrick’s Day. As you move through the busy days of spring we invite you to come home to CCHS, whether that be to the play, an athletic event or as a guest speaker. It is our alumni and supporters who have helped CCHS thrive for the past 133 years, and together we will ensure our students’ success as we embark on a new decade. Sincerely, Fr.
