Marty the Martian was sent to Earth by the Martian government to find life. While on Earth, Marty captured a car and brought it back to Mars.He thought he found a good example of life on Earth.

The Martian government does not believe that the car Marty brought back is alive.

Marty must now stand trial for failing to perform his duties…and Mars has capital punishment!

You will either be defending Marty – trying to prove that he made a reasonable mistake.

Or you will be prosecuting Marty – trying to prove that he should have known the car was not alive.

Before we begin, we must select a jury or our peers.

This must consist of an EQUAL number of persons from the defense and prosecution to assure a fair trial.

All jurors are responsible for taking notes throughout the trial. You will then consult with one another before determining Marty’s guilt or innocence. Your task is of the utmost importance, so please do not be a juror unless you are up to the task!

If you are interested in being a juror, please raise your hand.
