Current Filtration

The customer had been using Sartorius “Vinosart” 0.45 double layer 30” 222/Flat

For a number of years the Sartorius product had performed well in the application.

During a lapse in supply the customer contacted PDDA Filtration for a recommendation.

Omni-Clear

Working with the Purolator Liquid Process team we proposed using a dual layer Omni-Clear 1.2 micron over 0.45 micron style 7.

The customer agreed to the proposed product and purchased 12 filters for trial.

Performance

The filters were installed and initially we found that the top end cap was not the same as the Sartorius product. The alignment holes on the top of Code 8 were too small.

The end caps were quickly modified and the fit issue was resolved.

The filters were tested by the end user and approved for Wine final filtration.

Results

As a result of the testing of the OmniClear product, the customer has approved Purolator-LP, and has continued to use the product.

The value of the OmniClear at this facility is approx 20K per year.

The customer also has additional locations that will increase this to 50K plus.
