PARASAT Cable TV is Mindanao's only digital television system provider. The headquarters

of the company is located at Cruz Taal Street, Cagayan de Oro City. PARASAT Cable TV, Inc.

started as electronics retail store and repair shop established by Elpidio M. Paras. In 1991, Paras

established PARASAT Cable TV, Inc. To date, PARASAT Cable TV has coverage in the following

areas: entire Cagayan de Oro City, municipalities of Opol and Tagoloan. It has established

branches in Malaybalay and San Carlos. It has also formed partnerships with other cable

operators in Gingoog City and the municipalities of Balingasag, Don Carlos and Valencia,

Bukidnon. It is continuously expanding its coverage to the east and west sides of Misamis

Existing Marketing Strategy

The current marketing strategy of PARASAT Cable TV is mainly focusing to product service

awareness to the prospect customer’s and general public with the wrong perception that only

the rich can afford to have a cable connection. Relationship Marketing is as well used and

applied to the PARASAT Cable TV strategy where they focus on building relationships with their

customers instead of always exclusive trying to sell them something. Because they believe that

customers who love their product service bundle offering more will also spend more money and

eventually upgrade their subscription.
