The organising commiee are to be congratulated that all their efforts resulted in a fantasc community event...despite the weather. A big thanks to everyone for braving the weather and turning up to enjoy a cuppa and a chat. Many thanks to all those in the Nungurner community who contributed in so many ways; the car boots, market stalls, baking for the morning tea, volunteering, helping on the Landcare stand, cooking the BBQ, donaons and so much more. What a wonderful event our Market & Biggest Morning Tea was!! It was great to welcome so many visitors to our school and have them experience a warm Nungurner wel-come. to DOXA city camp VERY early on Monday morn-
ing. We will be away enjoying lots of fantastic
Melbourne attractions and experiences for the
week. Some of the things we are doing include:

Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre
Victoria Market
I’m sure we will have a great time and will learn heaps!
Our students are won-derful and each of them shines in their own unique way, but some-times their achieve-ments deserve special recognition. Our ‘You’re A Star’ awards are designed to do just that; to recognise effort, improvement and individual achievements. So far the recipients have been:
Holly: Consistently doing a hard job very well in
looking after the chooks during term one.
Keegan: Consistent effort and improvement during
Yoga sessions each week.
Lara: Always doing your best with a great big smile!! Angela: Wonderful efforts and participation in
sport at Metung

Starting next week Hot lunch day will be on Thurs-days. This will enable us to have lunchtime with the Metung children before our sports sessions each Friday.

Kinda visit
Prep transition Program Children from Swan Reach Kindergarten will visit the school for the first transition to school activity on
Monday June 3rd. This is a familiarisation visit and is open to all 4 yr olds who are eligible to start school
in 2013. Children will arrive at 9:30am and leave at 1:00pm. They will experience a range of activities both in the classroom and outside and will mix with the Nungurner students, who are cur-rently working on a play of ‘Peter and the Wolf’ to perform for them. If you know of any families with 4 yr olds who may like to attend please let them know and ask them to contact the school so we can keep them informed about our transition program.
