December Your Budget and Finance Committee present to you the 2020 PROPOSED BUDGET of MIMS Baptist Church. This budget is presented for your prayerful review, questions, and/or recommendations prior to its adoption by the church. Our Budget is without “fluff” and represents a very conservative projection of our ministry costs for the year ahead. Our staff and volunteers are commended for their prudent watch over all expenditures realizing we have a sacred trust in handling the financial matters of the church. It is amazing what God does, and what our church is able to do because of His blessings to us. We are about PEOPLE...reaching, caring and serving People. Some items in this PROPOSED BUDGET are set items (notes, insurance, utilities, etc.) Other items will vary through the coming year. The Budget is a projected guide as we move together into another blessed year of ministry.

1 Corinthians 16:2 tells us God’s Plan for His Church: “Upon the first day of the week, let everyone of you lay by him in store, as God has prospered…” When? “Upon the first day of every week” - The church gathers on the Lord’s Day to celebrate, which allows for a consistent giving to support our church. Who? “everyone of you” - No one is excluded from joyfully being a part of ministry. Where? “in store” - The storehouse of my local church is where I bring my financial support. How? “lay by him” - A deliberate, specific, prayerful matter as an act of obedient worship.

What? “As God has prospered” - As we reflect on God’s goodness to us, how can we not respond generously!
