Ancient Chinese Custom music composing

IntroductionI am Chinese and my culture background is also Chinese: Chinese is a traditional country which has famous culture and history in the world. Also, traditional music is a part of the famous culture like Chinese opera. I came Australia in 2014 for better education and opportunity of job. The transition music of Chinese consist of zither, pipa which are plucked string instrument, and female voice is also the important element in Chinese tradition song. I like the music of mu cultural background because i found out some special element during i listens variety of that songs and the sound is fascinating with that special as well.

Zither Zither is a main composer of Chinese tradition music. Zithers are played by strumming or plucking the strings, either with the fingers (sometimes using a tool called a plectrum), or sounding the strings with a bow. Varieties of the instrument like the santur or cimbalom are sounded by beating the strings with specially shaped hammers. Like a guitar or lute, a zither's body serves as a resonating chamber (sound box), but unlike them and due to the manner of playing, a zither has no need for a distinctly separate neck assembly. The number of strings varies, from one to more than fifty.

PIPA The pipa is a four-stringed Chinese musical instrument, belonging to the plucked category of instruments. Sometimes called the Chinese lute, the instrument has a pear-shaped wooden body with a varying number of frets ranging from 12 to 26. There are some techniques of pipa below: The player plectrum was then gradually replaced by the fingernails of the right hand, although finger-playing techniques existed as early as Tang. The most basic technique, tantiao , involves just the index finger and thumb (tan is striking with the index finger, tiao with the thumb). The fingers normally strike the strings of pipa in the opposite direction to the way a guitar is usually played, i.e. the fingers and thumb flick outward, unlike the guitar where the fingers and thumb normally pluck inward towards the palm of the hand. Plucking in the opposite direction to tan and tiao are called mo and gou respectively.

Element of music Musical Notation

Several types of notation were used. Singers used the syllabic symbols for the five notes of the pentatonic scale, as did players of pipes. Players of the stone and bell chimes, which were tuned to the ls, used symbols that represented the pitch names of the ls. Players of flutes and zithers used a kind of tablature. None of this notation indicated rhythm. particular introduce: https://prezi.com/gskvubdshn3h/elements-of-chinese-music/
