Birgit Liodden, is the founder of The Ocean OpportunityLab, and YoungShip International, former Director of Nor-Shipping , and a long-term gender equality spokesperson.

Maritime SheEO was founded in 2019 with an aim to create the next generation of femalemaritime leaders. It offers a bouquet of services focusing on the business case for diversity.It aims to create solutions that can impact the maritime and allied industries – with a focuson diversity & inclusion (D&I), leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship and competitiveadvantage.

The three of them have collaborated extensively to push the gender equality movement inshipping.
