Directions For UseThe pre-selected flow rate can be used by turning one of the knurled adjustment collars: 60 – 130 - 235 L/min at 6 bar. The position 130 L/min is marked by an additional button (pointer) and is located on top; at the small flow rate to the right (3 o’clock position); at the great flow rate to the left (9 o’clock position). By turning the red head of the nozzle/jet form sleeve the typo of flow can be switched from full to spray jet. The pointer on the form sleeve is at an angle of approximately 45 degrees from the tog when it is set to spray jet. By turning the jet form sleeve anti-clockwise it is switched to the maximum spray jet of 120 degrees. By turning the jet form sleeve clockwise the jet becomes a full jet. Thus the pointer is in position 11 o’clock resp. 2 o’clock.

The Novenco Firefighting (NFF) Water Mist Solutions can be applied for total flooding, local application firefighting (LAFF), accommodation areas, galley and duct. The versatility of the solutions presents you with the option to integrate all systems into one. The system has a unique XFlow® water mist nozzle, which spreads fine water mist that extinguishes the fire quickly, without any risk to the people or equipment. The mist droplets vary in size and circulate in the air, suppressing the supply of oxygen and absorbing the heat. This is effective at breaking the chain of combustion.

NFF XFLOW WET PIPE

ApprovalsAccording the new IMO MSC.1/Circ.1430 regulation, all ro-ro and ro-pax vessels shall have a fixed firefighting system for ro-ro spaces and special category spaces. The systems shall suppress fires on open ended decks and in enclosed spaces where vehicles and passengers have access.The new regulations were introduced after several accidents with ro-ro fires. Investigations into existing requirements for water-based systems, done by SP, proved that existing coverage according to IMO resolution A.123, a drencher system with 5 lpm/m² was not sufficient. Therefore, the new MSC.1/Circ.1430 regulation reflecting the requirements for prescriptive and performance-based systems from the SP tests was adopted.

AND DELUGE SYSTEMSThe Novenco Firefighting (NFF) XFlow® Wet Pipe system is designed to protect closed ro-ro and special category spaces against fires. The NFF XFlow® Deluge system is developed for protection of small open ended ro-ro and special category spaces. Both systems have prescriptive system design and meet the latest IMO MSC.1/Circ.1430 regulation, providing improved fire protection for ro-ro and ro-pax vessels. The NFF XFlow Wet Pipe and Deluge Systems are designed for marine applications and delivered with necessary certificates and approvals.
