    Preparation:Load a dampened sea sponge with Buttermilk and cover the entire surface. Allow this to dry and then load a dampened sea sponge with Indian Turquoise and cover the upper half of the shade, add some Turquoise and cover the bottom half of the shade, blending the two colors in the mid-dle. Stencil some snowfl akes with Snow White randomly on the shade.

    Painting Instructions:Cat: Base the cat with Zinc; shade with Soft Black; highlight with Grey Sky by dry-brushing face and belly, line some highlight on arms and top of ears. The nose is Coral Blush shaded with Santa Red. The eyes are Snow White with Lamp Black pupils and Snow White dots. Cheeks are dry-brushed with Santa Red. Hair is Soft Black. Mouth, Freckles and eyebrows are Lamp Black.Scarf: Base scarf with Foliage Green; add wide stripes and shade the scarf with Hauser Medium Green. The small stripes are Orange Twist.Cup: Base the cup with Santa Red and shade with Antique Maroon. The stripes are Snow White. The coffee is Milk Chocolate shaded with Soft Black; highlight is Snow White; steam is dry-brushed with Snow White.

  • Finishing:Shade fl oat around the cat and above the bottom border with Deep Midnight Blue. Base the upper and lower borders with Snow White; add dots to the center of each snowfl ake and the nose with Snow White. Use a number 8 fl at brush with Santa Red to make checks on the borders. Shade fl oat Antique Maroon on the right side of each red check and then add a Turquoise Blue stripe on the left side of each red check with a liner. Add any details with a black permanent ink pen. Spray with several light coats of Americana Acrylic Spray Sealer/Finisher - Matte.

Allow this to dry and then load a dampened sea sponge with Foliage Green and cover the upper half of the shade, add some Hauser Medium Green and cover the bottom half of the shade blending the colors in the middle.

    Painting Instructions:Chicken: Base the head, body, and middle tail feather with Canyon Orange and shade with Burnt Sienna. Base the neck feathers and bottom tail feather with Burnt Sienna and shade with Antique Maroon. Highlight the neck feathers with Canyon Orange. Base the wings, top tail feather, and the background feathers with Tangerine and shade Terra Cotta. Base the comb and wattle with Santa Red and shade with Antique Maroon. Base the beak and legs with Mustard Seed and shade Honey Brown. The eyes are Snow White with Lamp Black pupils. Shade around the chicken and above the bottom border with Hauser Dark Green.

    Finishing:Base the upper and lower borders with Buttermilk. Use a size 8 Shader brush with Canyon Orange to make checks on the borders. Shade fl oat Burnt Orange right side of each check and then add a Hauser Dark Green stripe on the left side of each orange check with a liner. Add any details with a

    Painting Instructions:Snowman: Base snowman with Buttermilk and shade with Sable Brown. Dry-brush cheeks with Coral Blush; nose is Canyon Orange and eyes are Lamp Black. Base the arms with Sable Brown, highlight with Mink Tan and shade with Burnt Umber. Scarf: Base with Foliage Green and shade with Hauser Medium Green. The large stripes are Santa Red; the small green stripes are Hauser Medium Green; the yellow stripes are Mustard Seed.Birds: Base the birds with Santa Red and shade with Antique Maroon and highlight with Coral Blush. The tail feathers are made by loading a fl at brush with Santa Red and then touching only the chisel edge and leaving a line. The beaks and legs are Mustard Seed. The eyes are Snow White with Lamp Black pupils. Shade around the design and above the bottom edge of the border on each side of the snowman with Zinc.

    Finishing: Base the upper and lower borders with Buttermilk. Use a number 8 fl at brush with Foliage Green
