Standing Committee recommended that sufficient funds be transferred to the State Government
Education department and monitor the process of content development for two lectures in each
course proposed by the PIS. The Secretary of Education will be requested to administer the
activity and monitor the progress.

format will be conducted in the next meeting of the Standing Committee to be notified.
22. A Study to assess adoption of e-learning among the learner and teacher community

The SC observed that it is too early to go about for this project as e-content is yet to be
developed. Further, it was also informed to the PI that some of the Pls are also working on the
same subject and Mission shall wait for the outcome before the same is considered. Further, it
was informed to the PI that the same will be discussed with the Mission Director for further
consideration.

Recommendations: The SC requests the PIS to write a more focused proposal on
specific topics. This proposal without any specific courses or programmes is not
recommended.
17. Development of e-LearninglOnline Teaching Material in the Subject: Political Science

Observations & Comments of the Standing Committee: The standing committee
requested the author to prepare a set of lectures (three to four) in which the author's
understanding and experience of political science is reflected rather than reading from
existing documents on the internet. The current proposal is not recommended.
Recommendation of the Committee: Submit a DPR and a sample of three to four
lectures.
18. UG & PG CLASSES DEVELOPMENT OF E-CONTENTS FOR ANIMAL PHYSIOLOGY THROUGH ICT

Observations & Comments of the Standing Committee:
Prepare a pilot set of lectures on one course. Resubmit the' project with details of
contents for the course by providing a syllabus that addresses the national curriculum in
that subject.
Recommendation of the Committee:
Revise the project and resubmit for providing a suitable recommendation on the
quantum of funding.
19. Proposal for The Development of e-Content for Planning and Architecture Me-1 4031 01 0628
Principal Investigators: School of Planning and Architecture
Observations & Comments of the Standing Committee: The committee appreciated
the efforts of the PI in getting the courses on architecture and wanted clarification on
whether the Institute of town planning had all the faculty in the institute as resident
faculty. The PI clarified that the faculty are drawn from expert schools from different
parts of the country but would take care of the necessary coordination. It was suggested
that a detailed course-wise, lecture-wise plan of the entire programme be prepared and
leading institutes in the country identified for partnering during the pilot phase.
Recommendation of the Committee: Sufficient funds for the creation of 3 to five
courses as approved by the PAB. Detailed DPR should be submitted along with a list of
potential reviewers.
19. ICT PROJECT PROPOSAL ON DEVELOPMENT OF E-LEARNING CONTENT IN THE AREA OF ORGANISATION BEHAVIOUR & HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT.

courses and schedules be submitted. Funding for the development of one or two

Recommendation of the Committee: The SC found the proposal acceptable for Two
pilot courses. However, detailed appraisal in the prescribed format will be conducted in
the next meeting of the Standing Committee to be notified.

undertaken.
Recommendation of the Committee: The SC found the proposal acceptable for 2
courses for pilot. However, detailed appraisal in the prescribed format will be conducted
in the next meeting of the Standing Committee to be notified.
