READ ACROSS AMERICA

• Read Across America Day is a nationwide reading celebration that takes place annually on March 2—Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Across the country, thousands of schools, libraries, and community centers participate by bringing together adults, kids, and books!

• Since March 2nd was a Saturday this year, our school celebrated on March 5, 2013.

• The Mayor, Board of Education members, Police Officers, Firefighters, and more came from all over the community to share the love of reading with our students.

• A dedicated team of staff helped to pull the event together. Mrs. Littriello, Mrs. Kivowitz, Mrs. Varela, and Ms. Viens did an excellent job of reaching out to the community and in making our guests welcome.
