Bishop Cote has announced that on Palm Sunday, the Passion of the Lord, March 23-24, 2013 both the distribution of Precious Blood and the Sign of Peace will be restored.

'For the Love of a Child' Gala to Benefit Haiti's Children

The annual gala to benefit children in Haiti will be Saturday evening, April 20th at Saint Clements Castle in Portland, CT. This is the annual fundraiser for Diocese of Norwich Outreach to Haiti to support programs that feed, shelter, medically treat and educate children in Port-au-Prince. Tickets to attend are $150, with $75 tax-deductible. The event begins at 6 p.m. with a cocktail welcome-hour, followed by a three-course meal, entertainment and an auction that includes vacation opportunities. The Diocese of Norwich announces: HOUSING INITIATIVE

Mr. Peter Harding as Director of Housing will identify opportunities to repurpose vacant or underused diocesan buildings, such as schools, to help the homeless. Bishop Cote described the mission as "Our needing to find ways to put these assets to good use for those most in need."

Remember the needy in our community. Food is collected all year, not just at the holidays. Please bring non-perishable foods to the church for distribution.

Our PRAYER SHAWL group makes baby blankets for BIRTHRIGHT of Windham and Prayer Shawls. It is a very special ministry knowing that with our shawl or baby blanket goes our prayers and a Blessing to someone who truly needs a touch from God. We provide the

Birthright of Windham: Your donations provide a witness to our Catholic faith and our commitment to

life as we continue to provide baby wash, lotion, shampoo, pampers (size 1-4) and wipes, receiving blankets, newborn gowns and clothing. Through these donations, our

two churches make a major impact on this ministry for local mothers and their babies.

SUMMER PROGRAM AT THE COLLEGE OF SAINT MARY MAGDALEN

Once again, the College of Saint Mary Magdalen in Warner, NH is pleased to announce the dates for its Summer Program for high school students. The Collegiate Summer Program offers participants the opportunity to study theology, philosophy, literature and political science. During the summer program, students also attend daily Mass and enjoy sports, socials and day trips including hiking and canoeing. The program is for students who will be entering their sophomore, junior or senior year of high school in the fall of 2013. It is also open to students who have just graduated high school. Spring is finally here!! So it's time to

start thinking about cleaning that attic,

garage, or spare room...

The format of this tag sale will be

different than in past. You won't need

to rent a table. Just donate your good, used items to

the church and we will do the rest. All proceeds will

go to our parishes. Large pieces of furniture in good

condition--couches, tables, dressers, chairs, etc.--

will be accepted, but if they don't sell you would

need to take them back as we don't have the means

to dispose of them. No adult clothing, books,

magazines or stuffed animals please.

Infant/children's clean, gently used clothing is ok.

Full day is available from 8:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. or half day from 8:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.
