'For the Love of a Child' Gala to Benefit Haiti's Children

The annual gala to benefit children in Haiti will be Saturday evening, April 20th at Saint Clements Castle in Portland, CT. This is the annual fundraiser for Diocese of Norwich Outreach to Haiti to support programs that feed, shelter, medically treat and educate children in Port-au-Prince. Tickets to attend are $150, with $75 tax-deductible. The event begins at 6 p.m. with a cocktail welcome-hour, followed by a three-course meal, entertainment and an auction that includes vacation opportunities. Mr. Peter Harding as Director of Housing will identify opportunities to repurpose vacant or underused diocesan buildings, such as schools, to help the homeless. Bishop Cote described the mission as "Our needing to find ways to put these assets to good use for those most in need."

Spring is finally here!! So it's time to

start thinking about cleaning that attic,

garage, or spare room...

The format of this tag sale will be

different than in past. You won't need

to rent a table. Just donate your good, used items to

the church and we will do the rest. All proceeds will

go to our parishes. Large pieces of furniture in good

condition--couches, tables, dressers, chairs, etc.--

will be accepted, but if they don't sell you would

need to take them back as we don't have the means

to dispose of them. No adult clothing, books,

magazines or stuffed animals please.

Infant/children's clean, gently used clothing is ok.
