As discussed in last month’s newsletter, our PARCC and CMAS assessments will be occurring in March, April, and May. Our March tests, for 3rd-5th graders, are during the entire week of Monday, March 9th through Friday, March 13th. Each student will have one testing session each day. This year, all tests will be performed on computers whereas last year, most tests were paper/pencil.
ALL 3RD THROUGH 5TH GRADE STUDENTS WILL BE TESTING :
Monday, March 9, 2015 – English Language Arts I
Tuesday, March 10, 2015 – Math I
Wednesday, March 11, 2015 – English Language Arts II
Thursday, March 12, 2015 – Math II
Friday, March 13, 2015 – English Language Arts III
These rigorous state tests offer us important information regarding your child’s academic level
and are connected to the school’s performance framework. Please help your child succeed by having
him/her keep a consistent evening routine, get plenty of sleep, have a good breakfast, and attend each
day.
As always, we appreciate your support during this critical testing time.
Sincerely,
Tammy L. DeWolfe

PTO
PTO/Accountability meetings are scheduled for the second Thursday of every month. The next meetings is scheduled for 12 March, 6:15 pm, at Lincoln. Dinner and childcare is provided. Please R.S.V.P. to [email protected] if you are planning to attend or call Thiry Mills at 275-6665.
PTO FUNDRAISER
Just a quick note to let you know that PTO will be selling school mascot hair bows and school
colored parachord bracelets. The order forms will be sent home with students the week of
March 2. We will be selling these for two weeks which means that the order forms and money
will be due Wednesday, March 18th. This will not be taking the place of the Gorilla Gallop
which is going to be our spring fundraiser this year. More information on the Gorilla Gallop
will be sent home in the coming weeks. If you have any questions about either fundraiser or
PTO in general, please call Thiry Mills at 275-6665 or email [email protected].
NOTE FROM OUR NURSE

Just to keep you informed, if you have plans to take your child to the Fremont County
Health Dept for any immunizations, they have moved to their new location at the Fremont County
Annex building, 201 N. 6th Street. New hours; Monday – Thursday 7:30- 12:00, 1:00 – 6:00. New
phone # 719-276-7451.
BOOSTER SHOTS - 5th Grade Parents,
All students enrolling next year in Middle School, 6th grade, are required to show proof of a Tdap
(Tetnus Diptheria Pertussis) booster. At this time, very few of our Lincoln 5th grade students have
provided their updated records, showing proof of this immunization booster. Students in compliance
with this requirement will have a smoother, and less time consuming, registration process because
records will automatically be transferred from Lincoln to the local middle schools.
Your child can receive immunizations from your pediatrician, family physician, or at very low cost
from the Fremont County Nursing Service. Call for an appointment at 275-1626. If you have any
questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 276-5834. Thank you.
