Chamber member, Tara Conry has been the West Hempstead Patch Editor for the past 2 and ½ years. Last month Tara announced that she will be leaving the Malverne-West Hempstead–Lynbrook Patch and will be moving on to another news organization. During those years, Tara has taken hundreds of pictures and written many articles supporting our Chamber and many small businesses in the surrounding areas. The date for the Annual West Hempstead Street Fair has been set and it will be held on Sunday, September 29
th from 10am
through 5pm. The location will again be on Hempstead Avenue and as always will be held RAIN or SHINE.
Last year, the weather cooperated nicely and it was a beautiful day with lots of residents and businesses participating.

Chamber member, Tara Conry has been the West Hempstead
Patch Editor for the past 2 and ½ years. Last month Tara
announced that she will be leaving the Malverne-West

The West Hempstead Chamber of Commerce met
with West 130 Apartment residents for a wonderful
social event on February 28th
and a fun time was had

Riesterer’s bakery has been making their famous
Lenten Donuts, Hot Cross Buns, King Cakes and
Punczki. Remember to get some for St. Patrick's Day,
St. Joseph's Day, Easter, and Passover…
WHEA (West Hempstead Education Association) held their Annual Volleyball Fundraiser for Student
Scholarships on March 1st. A fun time was had by all.
Marshall Myers of Laffey Fine Homes gave a single
rose to all that stopped by their Valentine’s Day event.
Lantern Diner. If you could not attend, you missed out on
networking with members, good food and business presentations.
Joe McDonald of Damocles Designs spoke about our new
Chamber website and features. This presentation was followed by
Sam Richter of Your Shady Window Lady / Verticals &
Horizontals and Faye Hoenig of Faye Healthy.

criteria for winning the award is based upon recommendations by community residents, the exterior
