March 2010Branch Clinics

I received about 14 months of allopathic medicines after a DISLOCATED DISC. The allopathic treatment consisted ofpainkillers that lowered the pain, but is didn’t treat the cause. I had to lie in bed for 14 months, unable to clothe myself. IfI didn’t take the painkillers I wasn’t able to be friendly, due to the pain. The pain became my only preoccupation, eventaking a simple call on the phone was a problem because I could only think about the pain. I wasn’t able to drive a car or atruck because the movement of the car seat caused more pain. I could not lift anything. My wife had to help me get dressedfor several months.

I received the TIBETAN MEDICINE from Men-Tsee-Khang in 2002 through a friend in Hungary. After a few days I feltalready better and 3 months later I could resume working again, including lifting things.

PRECIOUS PILLS NEWPACKAGING

Men-Tsee-Khang started making a fewprecious pills in 1980’s and in 1982 un-der the special expertise of late Dr.Tenzin Choedak (personal physician toHis Holiness the Dalai Lama) Tsothelwas made and four more precious pillswere added to the existing pills. So, intotal there are eight different types ofprecious pills. The manufacture andpackaging of the pills were done manu-ally, the institute had a silk clothwrapped around the precious pill in thebeginning, then, changed the packag-ing by putting the silk wrapped pill inplastic cubes with labels and hologramsticker due to counterfeit pills.

With the development of modern tech-nology and keeping in view the needfor more hygienic production, the pack-aging of the precious pills (RinchenRilbu) has been upgraded and nowdone by the new Blister Packing ma-chine since 15 October, 2009. The pro-duction is much more effective and ef-ficient.

BOOK POST

M a i l C o n s u l t a t i o nThe Men-Tsee-Khang does not hold mail-consultation as priority since it is important for the patient to be consultedpersonally by Tibetan physician based on its unique method of diagnosis (pulse, urine and interrogation). But owing to thegrowing demand and persistent request by many patients who do not have any access to Tibetan physician or can not affordto travel all the way to Dharamsala and its clinics based in various parts of India and Nepal, we have designed this specialmail-consultation facility. It is, however, important to note certain criteria for the patient to facilitate conclusive diagnosis andoptimum treatment:1. It is always better if the patient has personally consulted Tibetan physician once before he/she entertains the facility ofmail-consultation. 2. A copy of the Tibetan physician’s prescription (if consulted personally), and its feedback is necessary.3. Patient’s name, age, sex, contact details and comprehensive case history with present signs and symptoms should befurnished. Our senior doctors will personally review each case and medicines will be send to you through Registered Parcel. You maychoose to have the medicine send by International (DHL) or domestic courier with an additional fee. Please allow 2-3 weeksfor delivery and bear with us for any delay due to postal system/customs, which are beyond our control. Please notify us ifyou do not receive medicine within 3 weeks. Incase of urgency, please fax or email us with the requirements.
