Getting up to Standard in Your Workplace
A global first, ‘The Standard’ is a set of workplace voluntary guidelines, tools and resources to prevent psychological harm, and promote psychological health. Learn what ‘The Standard’ is, what it isn’t, and how you can begin using it in your workplace right now.
Participatory Policy DevelopmentBC has committed to introducing
Accessibility laws, standards and policies to better support people with disabilities to meaningfully participate in their workplaces and contribute to their communities. Learn what to expect from these provincial changes and explore how your workplace can create policies to reduce exclusion.
Deepening Community with Peer Support Programs
Continuing from the panel discussion, in this session you will learn about our panelists’ peer support programs, their challenges and successes. You will learn the principles of successful peer support and some different program models available for your workplace.
Recovery: An Attainable Reality Work can be an important part of recovery
for people with substance use disorders. Join us to learn strategies and best practice models to initiate and maintain recovery programs in the workplace. Naloxone training will also be provided in this session.

Taking Action to Address Psychological Health and Safety
Using ‘The Standard’ as a guide, learn how to develop an action plan based on your organization’s needs and resources. You’ll have a hands-on opportunity to begin developing your own action plan using a variety of easy-to-use tools and resources, guided by experts in the field.
Learning from Successful Diversity and Inclusion Programs
Dig deep into real world examples of diversity and inclusion programs, continuing the morning panel conversation. Learn the common obstacles faced by most programs and discuss and share strategies to overcome them.
Responding to Coworkers in Crisis The rubber hits the road when an employee
or colleague is going through a mental health crisis. This practical session will build your confidence responding to someone in distress and help you identify the warning signs of crisis.
Supportive Return-to-Work Strategies and Policies for Workers with Substance Use Disorders
Learn about the tips and strategies to create or optimize your workplace’s substance use policies, procedures, and best practices to be inclusive, supportive and effective. Naloxone training will also be provided in this session
