TOJI MACHIYA - How to reach the house The easiest way to go from Kyoto station to Toji Machiya is by taxi. It will take you about 5 min from the south side of the station or less than 10 min from the North side, and cost about yen 600 - 1,000. On foot, it takes about 15 min to walk from Kyoto station. Take the Hachijo Exit (South Exit). As you exit the station, follow Hachijo Street on your right to the next large crossing and take a left on Aburanokoji Street. You’ll pass in front of the large AEON Mall (on your left). Walk straight to Kujo Street and take a right on Kujo Street (there is a four way pedestrian bridge over this crossing). You’ll see the bridge of the tracks of the Kintetsu Toji Station ahead of you. Walk straight, pass under the bridge. There is a Lawson convenience store on your left, right after the bridge. Continue one more block. Just after the Matsuya Restaurant, take a left and you’ll find the Toji Machiya on the left, about 30 meters away, right after passing in front of a 24h Times Parking on your right.
