In The Gospel

Many people today, and even Christians, do not have a full comprehension of what the Gospel of Jesus is.The Gospel is the Bible. Is that true?The Gospel is the book of Revelation. Is that true?The Gospel are the four gospels. Is that true?The Gospel is the New Testament. Is that true?If all of that is not the Gospel, then what is, and why do we believe in it?As I mentioned in previous lessons, we must clarify so much confusion and misunderstanding that exists, concerning the Bible, in this day in age!

In Mk 16:15-16, Jesus makes reference to "the gospel".. a. Commanding His disciples to preach it to every creature b. Offering salvation to all who believe and are baptized2. In Rom 1:16-17, Paul makes reference to "the gospel"... a. How he was not ashamed of it b. How it is the power of God unto salvation for all who believe.3. What is this "gospel"... a. That Jesus wanted everyone to hear? b. That is God's power to save mankind?

When we speak of the gospel we tend to think of an evangelistic message and surely the gospel is that. But it is not only a four or five point outline of salvation truths.
