1.0 Introduction ACC-1 Arcade Crane Controller, is a drop-in replacement/upgrade board for United Textile,

Talon, Greyhound, and Treasure Chest cranes. This new robust architecture has a user-friendly LCD display interface, that simplifies system administration, making it fast and simple to configure machines. The highly flexible interface provides the administrator with capability of editing prices, credits, lockouts, winning percentages, claw powers, game settings, and many other previously unavailable options. The on-board accounting system calculates and keeps records of all the system transactions including, coins & bills, service credits, payout rates, play counts, prize counts, and profits. The product incorporates a MP3 quality sound system where files are stored on an industry standard Multimedia Card (MMC/SD), making uploading new melodies as simple as point and click.

2.0 System Configuration ACC-1 system configuration menu was designed to be user friendly. The configuration menu

is accessed by pressing the configuration push button on the ACC-1 board. Once in the system configuration you can navigate through all the menus using joystick and push button. Up and down joystick movements scroll thought the different menus, while left and right joystick movements switch among the different available settings. The push button advances among the different menus when prompted. If the administrator forgets to exit, the configuration will time out after 5 minutes and all changes will be lost.

There are four display menus available to the system administrator, Active Player, System Menu, Configuration, and Accounting. Active Player is the default system menu that displays the current coin, credit and play count of the current player. The System Menu can only be accessed through the Active Player menu by pressing the configuration button. Once in the system menu the administrator can use the joystick and the push button to navigate among the other menus such as Accounting, Configuration, Exiting, or Exiting and Saving.

4.0 Configuration Menu Price Per Credit

The price per credit determines the cost of 1 credit. The prices range from free to $100.00. Three Credit Price

The three credit price is the dollar amount that the machine will grant 3 credits for a specified coin/bill deposit. The price has a lower limit of the Price Per Play and has an upper limit of 3 times the Price Per Play dollar amount. The system administrator can easily disable this feature by selecting “Disable” on the top & bottom of scroll list. This feature is disabled by default. Credit Lockout

The credit lockout prevents the user from entering more money after a specified number credits have been reached.. The system administrator can adjust or disable this option. The feature is disabled by default. **** This option is required by law is some areas ***** Plays Per Credit

Plays per credit enables the systems administrator to select the number plays issued with each credit. The plays per credit ranges from 1-100. The system default is 1 play per credit. Play Time

This is the amount of time from the first movement of the joystick till the claw drops automatically without the user pressing the drop button. This option has a range from 0-60 Seconds. Upon the start of the game the claw will move to the center of the machine, once the user presses the button or the timer reaches 0, the claw will drop down and attempt to pick up the prize. The system default is 30 seconds. Drop N’ Stop

This option enables the player to stop the decent of the claw and move/realign the position of the claw above the prize. Once the claw reaches the prize the user can no longer move the claw. The system ranges is from 0-10 stop and restart of the claw decent. The system default is 0 Stops. **** This option is required by law in some areas ***** Nug Mode

Nug mode provides the user the option to stop the retractions of the claw on it’s way up and make a second attempt to pick up the prize at the cost of one play. The mode requires the active player have more than one play available. The active player can only use the nug options once per play. Nug Mode can be enabled or disabled. Nug mode is disabled by default. . Winner Percentage

The winner percentage is the way to control your payout-rate or (winner vs. loser) percentages over 100 plays. Guarantee Winner

Guarantee Loser

This helps ensure that a prize is dropped on the transition from close claw power to loser claw power. To ensure the prize is drop the claw power will slowly drop down to 0volts over 500ms period. After the 0volts is reached and the prize is drop the claw power will be set back loser power. The system administrator can enable or disable this option. The system default is enabled. **** This option is required by law is some areas ***** Close Claw Power

The close claw power is the initial power required to close the claw. This power is only applied at the beginning of the claw closing action for 500ms. The power will than slowly return to the losing power. The system default is 90% of 50VDC. Winner Claw Power

The winner claw power should always be set the highest power, ideally 100%. However, in the case where you don’t want to use the Statistically Control Winner Percentage than you should set the winning claw power to the desired amount, disable Guarantee Winner option, and set the Winning Percentage to 100%. This will ensure that the claw uses the same power every time.

To configure the system to produce a winner every time set the claw power to 100%, Winner Percentage to 100% and enable the Guarantee Winner option. Loser Claw Power

The loser claw power should always be set to the minimum amount of voltage needed to close the claw with no prize. The system default is 5% of 50VDC. Price Per Prize

The price per prize value is used to calculate the estimate and actual profits for the machine. If you are using a variety of products with different values, choose an average value of the prize to get the best results. Attraction Melody

The attraction melody is a sound that is produced periodically to get the attention of potential customers. The system administrator can choose between two different attraction methods joystick/button or time activated. When joystick/button is selected the system will only play the attraction sound upon the interaction with the joystick/button. The system then needs to remain idle for five minutes before it will play the attraction sound again. The system administration also has the option to “Disable” the attraction or to have the machine play the attraction every couple minutes from 2 to 60 minutes apart. The system default is joystick/button activated.

Volume This option controls the current volume of the attraction melodies and sound effects. The
