4 Introduction

This Operating Manual is written for operators of print finishing equipment therefore the use of technical terms is unavoidable.

This Operating Manual refers to the MS - Control - Version A_1 "sheet infeed control with batch

counter".

> Danger < Indications or rules and prohibitions for prevention of personal injuries or extensive damage.

> Notice < Special indications relating to the use of the MS - control.

4.1 Safety instructions and destined use

> Danger < The control system is exclusively destined for the use of MBO folding machines. Neither the manufacturer nor the supplier can be made liable for any damage caused as a result.

Read the Operating Manual of the control system and the machine carefully before you set both into operation.

Maintenance and service works should only be carried out by authorised service experts or personnel of manufacturer or supplier. This requires a special Service Manual which is not included in the Operating Manual.

When using a kicker it is absolutely imperative to use the batch control for the kicker only. If you use the batch control for stream delivery or marking device it will cause damage to the kicker solenoid coil.

7 Operation mode "sheet infeed control"

7.1 Operation mode 1 (standard setting)

Operation mode 1 is standard setting

(Repetitive control, front edge to front edge, without photocell B 2) The photocell B 2 is used only for "teach in" and for the batch counter.

Display of sheet gap = Sheet length + 1 cm (front edge - front edge)

The infeed of the subsequent sheet follows automatically through the sheet gap value.

The "teach in" as well as the additional change of suction length and sheet gap is described in par. 8.1 "Teach in" of suction length and sheet gap.

If a smaller value than the sheet length is selected the sheets are irregularly provided.

The selection of the operation mode occurs through Code 24 (selection of operation mode).
