SECURITY AND CONFORT

Air Bag: The air bag (in English, airbag) is a passive safety system installed in most modern cars. This system was patented on October 23, 1971 by Mercedes-Benz signature, after five years of development and testing of the new system.

Seat belt: No seat belt is a harness designed to restrain an occupant of a vehicle if a collision occurs and keep his seat. First used in aircraft in the 1930s and, after years of controversy, its use in cars is now mandatory in many countries. The seat belt system is considered the most effective passive safety device ever invented, including air bag ("airbag" in English), the deformable body or any technical advancement today.

Instruments and Controls

Tachometer: s a device that measures the speed of rotation of a shaft, usually the rotational speed of a motor. It is measured in revolutions per minute (RPM). Currently most commonly used digital tachometers, for their accuracy.

Speedometer

Picture of a car that includes a speedometer (left), a tachometer (right), along with other information and control devices.

An instrument is a speedometer which measures the value of the average speed of a vehicle. Because the measured interval at which this speed is generally very small closely approximates the magnitude of the instantaneous speed, ie the instantaneous speed.

Suspensión Systems

The suspension in a car, truck or motorcycle, is the set of elements that absorb terrain irregularities by which circulates to increase comfort and control. The suspension system acting between the chassis and the wheels, which directly receive the busy surface irregularities.

Upper arm: Kinematic element for attaching the wheel to the body. This element is to define the relative position of the wheel relative to the body and simultaneously to convey some of the efforts that must exchange wheel and body (the remainder is absorbed by the suspension springs). Can be constituted by one or several arms arranged, referring to the car, in the longitudinal, transverse and oblique even.

Stabilizer Bar

The stabilizer bar is a component of the suspension solidarize allowing vertical movement of the opposite wheels, thereby minimizing the lateral inclination suffering a vehicle body when subjected to centripetal force, typically in curves.

Damper: The damper is a device that absorbs energy, normally used to reduce unwanted oscillations of a periodic motion or to absorb energy from impacts or shocks.

System of Direction

Steering column:

The function of the steering column is to transmit the rotational movement of the wheel until the steering mechanism, which in turn take care of the wheels move in the direction required by the driver. The resistance to rotation of the steering wheel should be the same all the way to ensure fluidity in their movement and discarded the appearance of parasites or cyclical efforts.

Steering gear

Gear steering gear unit has two steering gear a worm gear and gear sector section or straight. A gear rack and a pinion gear are two types used in a steering gear rack and pinion.

Steering knuckle

In automotive suspension, a steering knuckle is that part which contains the wheel hub or spindle, and attaches to the suspension components. It is variously called a steering knuckle, spindle, upright or hub, as well.
