To the ABDC Journal List Review Panel for 1503
Dear Colleagues
International Journal of Manpower: ABDC Journal List Review
Thanks for helping to lead this challenging process of ranking journals on behalf of BARDSNet and the Australian Business Deans Council.
For your information, the Association of Industrial Relations Academics of Australia and New Zealand (AIRAANZ) is the peak organisation representing academics in Industrial Relations /Employment Relations/Human Resources. AIRAANZ represents a significant group of academics with our own substantial conferences, symposia and journal. See: www.airaanz.org
AIRAANZ hereby indicates that it is one of the signatories to this submission and wishes to offer its strong support for an increase in the 2013 ABDC rating for this journal.
Please let us know if you have any questions or would like any clarification of AIRAANZs concern and proposal. Thanks.
Yours sincerely

The journal also aims to publish research papers, the results and analysis of which will have implications or relevance to policy makers and practitioners in relevant fields. IJM gives priority to strongly empirical/analytical research papers. The field of human resource planning and labour economics is a complex one, influenced by the many social, technological and economic changes evident in the world today. The journal is an invaluable support to academics and researchers in the field, and to all those charged with setting policies and strategies relating to workforce issues. Due to these reasons and the additional information below, IJM should be an A-ranked journal on the 2013 ABDC list:
