Annual Report
" May be there is a road ahead of it, May be there is a new world down the road, Walking forth is the only plight, Because we didn't come this far to come this far only "
A heart filled with dreams and aspirations has been the inspiration behind the conceptualisation
of the school and since inception of the school we have marched forward towards excellence in
all endeavours and still have to traverse on with purpose and commitment
Apeejay School, Park Street was the first branch to come up under Apeejay Education trust, in
1975. As the school approaches its Golden Jubilee in a few years’ time, the fervour with which
the institution had started its journey in the field of education and continues.
This report comprises of the achievements made during the year that has gone by and at the same time set the path for greater accomplishments in the years to come.
Without a vision there can be no progress! Children under our guidance could aim for the so
called 'impossible', build a strong willpower, compassion, adaptability insight and focus which
would give them the strength and acumen to achieve their goals.
Academic excellence, compounded with life skills definitely, is the backdrop in this pursuit of
life, achievable according to the aptitude of the individual child, and maturing in a well-balanced
and a harmonious environment. A child after 16 years of education in Apeejay School develops
a spirit of universal humanism, temperance, sustainable goals and a cosmic vision.
Our mission is to equip all our children with the invincible mantra of Shakti Drishti and Prajyan, the three powerful virtues of a truly educated individual. We believe that excellence in academics is the hall mark of our school, as a good institution. The schools long term goal is to invest collective efforts towards building a lifelong learner in a child through fostering an environment of learning and experiences
Academic achievements reflect the diligence and skills to perform to the best of one’s ability. The sincere efforts of students in the CBSE Exams brought laurels to the school. Our school topper for the class XII Board Exam was Prashant Jhawar with 98.00% marks

The academic year 2021-2022 in the wake of covid 19 Pandemic continued with exclusive online classes initially and later, a hybrid model of online as well as face to face classes were initiated following the Governmental mandates. Our school used G-meet as the platform for conducting online classes, for co-curricular activities, celebrations and events scheduled. Timings and
timetable were framed and modified from time to time to make online classes feasible.
Updated School curriculum had been in place and has been followed throughout the year. One of the major goals for the AY 2021-22 is to have a competent and effective curriculum in place that caters to the varied needs of the child and ensures holistic growth. To make learning interesting and dynamic and enhance the quality of education methodology has been updated to incorporate experiential, project based, theme based and excursion based model of teaching and learning. Emphasis has been given to focus on fun activities, incorporating art, dance, and music classes. Physical activities formed a major focus in the primary timetable. To maintain academic rigor while the focus being on teaching the child and not the subject alone:
Integrating subject topics across grades for inter-disciplinary learning and hands on experiential learning to actively engage the child.
Focus is to be not just on completion of subject but subject understanding.
Defined rubrics for assessment and definite learning outcomes and competencies for each subject and grade level
Clear plan for teacher capacity building: Pedagogical, Subject enrichment and leadership The strategies implemented to achieve excellence focussed on
Integrated and Experiential Lesson Plans across subjects that clearly defined the aims, objective, pedagogical strategies, content creation and learning outcome.
Regular Class observations done by Principal, Co-ordinators and Heads of Departments to monitor the implementation of lessons and the effectivity of teaching.
Regular student feedback and parent contact.
Daily & Monthly updation of lessons to be covered in the forthcoming month shared with students for their convenience.
Remedial/Enrichment/Special classes conducted on a daily basis to help students to bridge the learning gaps faced specially during pandemic.
Teacher Capacity building and Professional Development workshops to include: Hands on workshops on active and experiential learning, learning outcome-based lesson plans, Pedagogy for inclusive classrooms, Assessment for Learning and Leadership workshops
Our assessment system is stress free and helpful to enhance student achievement and progress. Our Assessment follows the CBSE module of Periodic Tests and Block Tests, Multiple assessment, Portfolios etc. Assessments, therefore in the form of Art integrated projects, exhibits, Role plays, debate, quiz, pen and paper exam, viva voce etc. The ultimate aim of assessment is to see the extent and depth of learning that has taken place. Efficient and effective teaching and learning happens when there is a strong faculty and at Apeejay School, Park Street there are well qualified, learned and empathetic teachers with a desire to share the love of their subject with the students. We are fortunate to have with us
teachers who are eager to improvise and adapt to new challenges and demands so as to bring out the best in every student.
Activities are an integral part of a School and Apeejay School, Park Street has organised myriad events for children. Competitions and academic activities encourage and foster a healthy and competitive spirit. The activities are conducted at classroom level, school level and inter-house level. Some of them are essay, speech, handwriting, slogan writing competitions, poetry recitation, story writing, English and Hindi debate, Science Exhibition and Maths Quiz that enliven the classroom and make learning fun. Celebration of National Reading Day on 17th of June 2021 was made memorable when the students chose Sudha Murty and R.K. Narayan for exploring and experiencing the myriad characters of the novels. Value based Activities . On 17th and 18th of June we observed World Refugee Day 2021 in their unique way and shared the experiences through virtual platform.
Co-curricular activities are an essential part of school life as they help to enhance the learning process of the students Through these activities we strive to bring in social skills, intellectual skills, moral values, personality progress and character appeal in our students. To mention a few .. 1) Cinema Paradiso, a befitting title for the Virtual International Children's Film Festival 2021 hosted by Apeejay School, Park Street, transported the students and teachers to a world akin to paradise from the 31st of May 2021 till 5th June 2021
2) Rabindra Jayanti celebration- we created a moment to learn and share the great ideas and
thoughts of Rabindranath Tagore through a video of cultural programme that the students and
teachers have put up to honour the great Spirit.
3) Masquerade 2021: All the World’s a Stage - Masquerade 2021: All the World’s a Stage was
conceived with this idea of providing an opportunity to the students to express their ideas and
views through actions. Shakespeare’s work delves deep into the mind of emotion – time can
never render them obsolete. Hence, we, at Apeejay School chose Shakespeare’s characters as
the basis to portray issues that the student actors find relevant in the modern times and wish
to focus the attention of the spectators. It was conducted on the Children’s Day.
4) Virtual Sports Meet - Apeejay Schools, wishing to celebrate youthfulness and vigour,
organised a virtual sports meet on 22, December 2021. Imaginative games and sporting events
were devised to engage the students from lower classes to senior classes. Participation of
students was commendable and most noteworthy was the participation of parents. There were
events that called for a combined participation of student and parent
Apeejay Anand Art Workshop - The Art Workshop organized by the Apeejay Anand Children's Library commemorates and celebrates the birth anniversary of Anand Paul who left us untimely due to a tragic accident in the year 1989. Apeejay Schools along with Apeejay Anand Children's Library hosted the 30th edition of the Apeejay Anand Art Workshop at the lawns of the Apeejay House today. The theme this year was “Sakaratmak Parivartan - How has my life changed?”.
The Apeejay Anand Art Workshop touched a historic milestone by going both national and international this year. As part of an international exchange program, the workshop was attended by students from schools in Nepal and Pakistan. Over 1000 students aged between nine and twelve joined in both online and offline mode to light-up canvases with colourful imaginations. Students from various corners of India, including Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Gujrat, Haryana, Madurai, and Hyderabad joined the workshop virtually. Children were provided A4 size papers along with pencils, erasers, and pastels to explore their creativity.
Our school magazine “Karma” was revamped as e-magazine this academic session. This was a
maiden venture as physical publication of the magazine was not possible. The link for
downloading the same is http://www.apeejayschool.in/Karma2020.pdf
The School media handles are active and updated to showcase the school events, programmes.
Students, teachers and alumni and parents are encouraged to visit the social media platforms
to keep themselves abreast of the happenings.
