Entrepreneurs execute those ideas. EKU’s Concentration and Minor in Entrepreneurship teaches students the necessary skills to think and act entrepreneurially, translating ideas into action. The 21st century economy demands intellectual and practical capacity across a field of disciplines, whether it’s innovating in an organization, or creating a new one. Entrepreneurship is not only about building a successful venture, but also aspires to solve the world’s biggest problems – from poverty and disease, to resource depletion, and cultural and political conflict. EASTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY Entrepreneurship Minor Available to All EKU Students Are you a student who is following their passion in Art, Chemistry, Theatre, English, Nursing, Fire Science, Parks and Recreation, or any of the other majors that are available on campus? Let us help you think about creating your own successful venture from that passion with the Minor in Entrepreneurship. The program consists of: • 15 hours of required courses: CCT 270, CCT 304S, MGT 301, MGT 330, MGT 465 • 6 hours of business electives from qualitative or quantitative business courses: ACC 201, ACC 202, FIN 310, GBU 204, MKT 301, MKT 435 To enroll in a 300-level business course, students must have completed a minimum of 60 hours and have met the prerequisites of the specific course. Students must earn at least 12 hours for the minor at EKU and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 in all courses comprising the minor.
