Horrendous weather didnot deter the proceedingsof the FIABCI MalaysiaProperty Award (MPA)

2014. In fact, a stylish and sparkling,much­anticipated eveningwelcomed the propertydevelopment fraternity. In typicalOscar's style, it was once again anight to recognise excellence inreal estate development andcelebrate the winners and theiradmirable projects.

Industry greats and the who'swho in property developmentwalked the red carpet at theImperial Ballroom of the OneWorld Hotel. Men donned tuxedos,snazzy suits and bow­ties, whilewomen arrived in gorgeous gowns.A grand affair where hard hats andsafety boots were cast aside andindustry folk dressed up for theformal occasion.

There was hype at the foyer asguests arrived, circulated andcontribulted to the social buzz. Thecamaraderie among fellow peers,associates and players in theindustry soon followed the crowdinto the ballroom as the doors

opened. Charles Barnabasentertained with enchanting musicand song as guests found their seats,mingled and chatted. On theannouncement of the arrival ofTunku Besar Seri MenantiTunku Ali Redhauddin IbniTuanku Muhriz, by master ofceremonies Raymond Goh, theroyal guest­of­honour made hisentrance and the formalities of theevening commenced.

The evening began with FIABCI­Malaysia president Tengku DatukAbdul Aziz T engku Mahmuddelivering his opening speech.While dinner was served, a video

presentation was aired, showcasingthe year's winning projects and thetalent behind them. There wasapplause and cheering as the awardwinners were revealed. Soon after,the moment arrived, the highlight ofthe night, the awards presentation.Tunku Ali Redhauddin, along withTengku Abdul Aziz and organisingchairman Dr Yu Kee Su wereushered on stage to present theawards. After the awardspresentation, Property CEO of theyear, Datuk Jamaluddiii Osmanfrom I&P Group, followed byProperty Man of the year, HunzaProperties' Datuk Khor Teng Tong,were invited on stage to say a fewwords. The celebration continuedlate into the night as award winnersand their teams basked in the glory,while cameras flashed to record thememorable occasion.
