What is the difference in meaning?
→
So far, we have worked with 2 ways to say “the” in Spanish.
el & laEx: el sombrero/la camisa
When learning new vocabulary ALWAYS study the definite article that goes with the nouns!! It is part of the word!
Does the “el” or “la” depend on if YOU are a boy or a girl???
NO!!! It has nothing to do with it.
el sombrero is ALWAYS el sombrero
whether a guy or girl is wearing it!
Nouns work differently than adjectives.
Remember the general rule about masc. vs. fem.!
