belonging.

Miss White: ( Look at Lily and Susan ) You should not play with your
stationery in the lesson. Behave yourselves.

Miss White: Pardon.
Lily: Nothing.
Susan: All right, Miss White.

Lily: You are right.
Alice: She never understands us.
Patrick: No one understands us.
Peter: No one knows what we want. ( Look at the audience and
talk to them ) Do you know what we expect from our teachers
? Do you want to know what we think? Hey, boys and girls,
let’s tell them.
(Students read aloud the poem ‘Children’s Prayer’ together.
The Magic Clock shakes her head. )
Let the teachers of our class, set us test that we all pass.
Let them never ever care about what uniform we wear.
Let them always clearly state, it’s OK if your homework’s late.
Let them say it doesn’t matter when we want to talk and chatter.
Let our teachers shrug and grin when we make an awful din.
Let them tell us every day. There are no lessons. Go and play.
Let them tell our mum and dad. We’re always good and never bad.
Let them write in their report. We are the best class they have taught!
Magic Clock: That’s enough. Time to go home now, kids. Bye.
All the students: See you tomorrow. ( Leave the stage )

Scene 3
( Music 3 – “Raindrops keep falling on my head ’’ fades in. Miss White
sings on her way to home while she meets the headmaster. )
Miss White: ( Sing the song of “Raindrops keep falling on my head ’’ )
Raindrops keep falling on my head, and just like the guy
whose feet are too big for his bed. Nothing seems to fit.
Those raindrops are falling on my head. They keep falling.
So I just did me some talking to the sun. And I said I didn’t
like the way he got things done, sleeping on the job. Those
raindrops are falling on my head. They keep falling.
( The headmaster appears in front of Miss White and sings the song. )
Headmaster: ( Sing the song ) But there’s one thing I know, the blues
they send to meet ‘you’ won’t defeat ‘ you’ . It won’t be
long till happiness steps up to greet ‘you’.
6
Miss White, Headmaster: ( Sing together ) Raindrops keep falling on
my head. But that doesn’t mean my eyes will
soon be turning red. Crying’s not for me, cause
I’m never gonna stop the rain by complaining.
Because I’m free, nothing’s
worrying me.
Miss White: Hello, Headmaster. ( Sign )
Headmaster: What’s happened ?
Miss White: My class thinks that I give them too much homework and
too many tests. They are naughty and they don’t want to
obey rules. I heard them complaining about me in the
classroom.
Headmaster: I’m sorry to hear that. I know you are a good teacher and
you have tried your best to teach them.
Miss White: They don’t think so. It’s impossible to change them
into good students.
Headmaster: Don’t give up!Nothing is impossible. I am going to teach
them a lesson, to make the impossible things possible.

Miss White: Really? But how? ( Puzzled )
Headmaster: ( Talk to Snow White secretly ) I’m going to ……
Miss White: ( Smile ) That’s a good idea.

Peter: That’s a good idea! How can we do this?
Magic Clock: Listen carefully. ( Read aloud part of the poem of

dark wood, there is a dark, dark house. And in that dark,
dark house, there is a dark, dark room. And in that dark,
dark room, there is a ‘witch ’.

All students and flowers: A witch?
Amy: I don’t think it’s a very good idea.

Peter: ( Point at Amy and Patrick ) Coward!
( Look at Magic Clock ) Go on, please.
Magic Clock: The witch will give you a magic apple. Anyone who eats
this apple will lose his memory.
Peter: That’s amazing!I’m going to get the apple from the witch.
