Make a Jumping Jack Age 5-8 You will need Jumping Jack pdf Paper fasteners or treasury tags A4 piece of card or paper Sharp pencil Colouring pencils or felt tips String What to do 1. Print the Jumping Jack pdf on to an A4 piece of card. 2. Cut out each of the pieces and colour them in. 3. Using a sharp pencil, make a hole through each of the small black circles marked on the Jumping Jack pdf. 4. Cut two lengths of string, each about 8cm long. Join the arms and legs of the Jumping Jack by threading the string between the holes and tying the ends. 5. Push paper fasteners or treasury tags through the other holes, from front to back, to make the joints for the arms and legs. 6. Make sure the pins are fastened loosely, so that the joints can move smoothly. 7. Cut a length of string, about 16cm long. Connect both the arms and the legs of the Jumping Jack to each other by tying the string, first to the centre of the shorter length of string joining the arms, then to the centre of the shorter length of string joining the legs. 8. Tie a loop of string through the Jumping Jack’s hat so that you can hold him up with one hand. 9. Then, pull on the dangling string in the centre and watch him jump up and down.
