Make A “Build-a-Bear” for Children at the Ronald McDonald House in NYC for Valentine’s Day! Bears will be distributed to the children SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 2013 GOYA Project Details: 1. Each parish within the Direct Archdiocesan District will choose a day for their GOYA to go to a BuildaBear store location near them to make the bears for the children at the Ronald McDonald House. (A list of all locations is attached.) This needs to be completed before February 9, 2013. GOYA advisors can call 8777892327 to schedule a “Party” for a service project for teens at their location. This way, the BuildaBear will give you a 10% discount off your purchases because it is a service project. Please let the person know that the “Service Project Party” is for teenagers. 2. At the BuildaBear store, the advisor(s) can split the GOYANS into groups depending on how many bears need to be made. (i.e. If we need 10 bears and have 30 GOYANS) 3. Each group will make their bear in accordance with the guidelines of the service project. (Guidelines attached) PLEASE FOLLOW ALL THE PROJECT GUIDELINES 4. After each group has completed their bear, the advisor(s) will take a picture of the group with the bear they made. The group will also make a card. The card, the BuildaBear birth certificate (please keep blank, you will fill this out at RMH!), and picture of the group will be included in the bear gift to the child. On Saturday, February 9th each participating GOYA will send one or two representatives to meet at the Ronald McDonald House at 12:15pm to handdeliver the bears that the groups made. Due to the restrictions the Ronald McDonald House has, we cannot have more than 12 representatives per parish. Thanks to all of you and most importantly, HAVE FUN!!!
