Early Findings
• Must have course owners
• Courses must be kept current with business needs and trends
• Course owners must stay abreast of the relationships to other courses
Early Findings
• Course Owner Responsibilities:– With multiple sections/instructors – agree on learning
objectives– Ensure that syllabi are similar between sections– Where possible, use same text books– Keep course content contemporary with future
business requirements– Meet with other course owners of required courses to
coordinate what is covered in each course
Next Steps
• Finish review of courses
• Write-up recommendations
• Go over the changes with “course owner”
• Go over changes with this group
• See changes through
Other Next Step
• Get recent graduates together and ask them what we should have taught them (again).
• Understand the feedback
• Decide how to assimilate their input
