Focus: Provide mentoring

support for PreK-3 licensed teachers working in private schools to advance from the Provisional license to the Professional license

Provide ODE with unique beginning teacher needs during transition process

It has allowed me to feel valued and important in the education field. Working with my mentor has allowed me to grow as a professional and provide best practices for my students. Administrator Roles

Creates a positive climate for mentoring Provides sanctioned time and resources

for mentoring and induction activities Communicates and collaborates

Resident Educator Requirements Attend orientation meeting Meet regularly with mentor – 3-4 times a month;

times will vary Happy Hour trainings Observations – 3 formal observations (pre

conference, observation & post conference) Classroom visits – 2 classroom visits to observe

other experienced teachers PK & K Liaison Meeting – 8am-3pm Colloquium / Banquet
