UoB is state university which implies implementing a general plan adopted by the Ministry of higher education and scientific research to produce qualified medical, engineering, scientific, …, etc. staff required to implement the national development plans adopted by the national and regional governments.

2- Key Results

The UoB has been adapted its plans to beaccording to the international standards in theeducation and research fields especially in the

the topics indicated by the UGSC, but the results ofapplying this test bench is in process.

Some of reformations in the structure andeducation policy requires legislatives supportingwhich is outside the authority of the university likethe funding policy.

Key Results

The Follow up and planning Unit in the UoB has increasing its role to feed back the Top Management the analysis results to adapt their plans taking in the account the new findings resulted from the application of the test bench for all the five axis included in the UGSC, but neglecting the items that conflicts with governmental rules.

3-Institution response

1. UoB gives QA unit, which is already established, great role to review the university mission and the preparation of the strategic plans taking in the accounts, the test bench results.

2- The UoB sends some employees affiliated to

QA unit outside the country for more

cooperation and expertise transfer in the field

of QA.

4-Future Plans

1- UoB wishes to apply the UGSC bench mark to investigate the weakness in its plans and polices like funding policy and UoB Rank in the national and regional grades.

2-The Chancellor and his assistants emphasize on the use of regional and international test benches to make benefits from the results taken from them to enhance the university future plans and teaching polices.

5-Lessons Learned

1- The UoB aims to use the UGSC as standards test bench for its governs policy.

2-UoB suggests installing UGSC on its intranet and use it as local test bench.

3-The results of applying UGSC on UoB data are not recieved yet, to build on them to strength the UoBobjectives.
