Welcome. Yep, what you’re reading is very much one of those ‘sponsorship proposals’ that every young driver produces. But this is also a look into our world and the way we roll. As you will see, it’s a bit different to everyone else - and that point of difference is what makes us work as a team, and as a brand. Hope you can come along for the ride. MAGRO.

P.S. While you’re here, check out the info about our Magro Motorsport gear for sale, it’s just to the left and over the page. It’s all good quality stuff, so fire us an email and we’ll hook you up with a Tee, cap or sticker set for your bike! JM.

John Magro is a different kind of racing driver. But different, as in good different. He’s rapidly made a name for himself as a feisty competitor, fast driver and great personality. One to watch, then.

The Mango Man from Mareeba. John Magro is a young, dynamic and modern racing driver. Outside the cockpit he’s laid back, even laconic. Happy to chat with fans and fellow driving enthusiasts. In the cockpit he’s a rising star of Australian Motorsport and in just a few short years has shown he has what it takes to be competitive at the very top level of mo-torsports. John has raced Karts, Formula 3 and MINI Challenge successfully. Now he wants to win a championship in Australia’s fastest cars and has his sights set on becoming Formula 3 Champion in 2011. A Mango farmer from Mareeba, near Cairns in far-north Queensland, John has been into extreme sports since youth. A regular on his moto-x bike racing on a home made track partly fulfils this adrenalin junkie’s require-ments for action. Most of all, John has a hard-working ethic instilled in him by being part of the family business, growing mangoes. This allows for him to commit to whatever it is he does at 110%, be it working on the farm or driving a racing car. It’s this commitment and realistic approach to life - without missing out on the fun - that makes John Magro stand out from the crowd.

In 2011 John steeped up and ran his first full-time F3 Australian Drivers Championship cam-paign - and it was a cracking season. John was the qualifying king of 2011, taking three pole positions and never qualifying lower than 4th on the grid in his Team BRM prepared, Magro Motorsport Dallara F307 Mercedes. His championship season was also strong - and John can claim credit for having passed the most cars throughout the season! One race win amongst a total of 14 podium finishes throughout the season saw him secure third in the drivers’ championship and set the wheels in motion for a full-tilt title campaign in 2012. John received strong media throughout the season and plenty of acclaim for his stunning, jet-black Dallara with it’s red, white and bright green sponsor highlights. This is a car that stood apart from the pack and has become instantly recognisable as his own. Most experienced operators in the sport say it takes two years to become a true title contender. John Magro showed that in just one. That means 2012 could be a very, very good year to get on board the John Magro express to the Formula 3 Australian Drivers Championship for the CAMS Gold Star.

Motorsport sponsorship is more than just about putting a brand name on the side of a racing car. It’s about activation, it’s about exposure and networking. Here’s how we can do it.

Magro Motorsport sponsorship.

There are several levels of support available at Magro Motorsport, designed to suit every requirement for getting your brands message across and for every imaginable budget. The car can have an adaptable livery to suit either one major sponsor or several smaller backers - or it can be a completely blank canvass to be covered or liveried as any sponsor desires. This flexibility allows Magro Motorsport to tailor packages to suit individual marketing campaigns and budgets and not be rigidly fixed to a set package of signage and additions servicing the partnership. Magro Motorsport is also ideally positioned to be a key talking point of local industry, business and media. As the only major na-tional-championship level racing team based in Far North Queensland, the team is ideally positioned to become a hub for ‘FNQ’ businesses to promote and network on a national level. Remember, Sponsorship is not only tax-deductable as a means of promoting your business, but it’s also a fantastic way to raise brand awareness, create talking-points, give employees or corporate partners an opportunity for involvement or a means to do business via at-circuit corporate hospitality.

Sponsorship options: • Round by Round sponsorship - target an

audience to a specific region corresponding with that particular round of the F3 Australian Drivers Championship.

• Full season / major sponsorship - a year long campaign, appearing at, and with ac-cess to, every round of the national championship in 2012.

• Naming Rights - brand the car, the team, the truck and the driver - and everything else in between!

As well as the already-outlined media exposure and branding benefits, additional opportunities motorsport sponsorship can bring include; Corporate hospitality - use Magro Motorsport as a means to bring together and do business with clients. Access-all-areas: Give high-achieving employees, competition winners or great clients a ticket to the races to become part of the team for a weekend for access money can’t buy. Brand Representative: Get the Magro Motorsport Dallara in your business’ foyer, a business function or corporate event. Racing cars are always a great talking point! With Magro Motorsport, the Sky is the limit, so if you’ve got an idea like the above, let us know and we can make it happen!
