Magpie Update: September 25 th 2012 PADHC is proudly supported by: Port Adelaide District Hockey Club achieves the BIG FOUR! This weekend's Premier League and Metro 1 competitions saw the Port Adelaide Hockey Club win all four premierships on offer. The pitch was awash with Magpie supporters following the 1-0 Men's Premier League win over Port Adelaide. It was a goal to the big hitting Cameron Joyce that secured their win. Earlier: The day started with the Metro 1 Womens Grand Final (second grade of the competition) where Port Adelaide took the honours with a resounding 4-1 victory over Seymour Old Collegians. Next up was the Metro 1 Mens Grand Final (second grade of the competition) and again it was Port Adelaide but in a close affair winning 3-2 against Grange-Royals. The Women's Premier League final saw Port Adelaide establish a 1-0 lead before half time but Burnside kept working away until they equalised with a controversial goal late into the second half. Port then scored the "golden goal" in the first period of extra time to take the premiership. Congratulations to all competing grand final teams for some very good hockey and a special congratulations to the Port Adelaide Hockey Club for their stellar outcome.
