MAGIC BUZZ Your quarterly update from the Magic Bus India Foundation Hello! For a long time, almost everyone we know have been telling us, how come we don’t know all the variety of work Magic Bus does? To that I bring to you our first newsletter for our donors and supporters. This has been a particularly momentous period in Magic Bus' life. With a vision of reaching a million children by 2015, we have revisited our vision and mission statements. We have re- looked at the visual language we speak in. For the first time, we have a tagline that captures our goal: Taking a million from childhood to live- lihood. For 12 years now, Magic Bus has brought about changes that are revolutionary in the lives of the children we have worked with. After a dec- ade of this work, the impact is for all to see— enhanced educational attainments, better health, and children who are aware of the choic- es they have and using the opportunities in the environment. Nearly half of the children and young adults who are part of Magic Bus are girls, resulting in tec- tonic shifts in the way their families and com- munities are viewing and treating them. The newsletter will bring you glimpses from the work we are doing. Work that would not have been possible without your support and belief in us. It will be good to hear back from you. We foster young adults to deliver our programme and to become role models to the children with whom we work. These community leaders are from the same community as the children and serve as agents of change. We train these mentors to deliver the re- searched, activity-based curricula we have pioneered to bring about behavior change. A large part of their work is to promote gender equality, access to education and health ser- vices, as well as developing a child's social and emotional skills. All graduates of the Mag- ic Bus programme are offered our employ- ment course and connections to livelihoods. Hello!
For a long time, almost everyone we know have
been telling us, how come we don’t know all the
variety of work Magic Bus does? To that I bring
to you our first newsletter for our donors and
supporters.
This has been a particularly momentous period
in Magic Bus' life. With a vision of reaching a
million children by 2015, we have revisited our
vision and mission statements. We have re-
looked at the visual language we speak in. For
the first time, we have a tagline that captures
our goal: Taking a million from childhood to live-
lihood.
For 12 years now, Magic Bus has brought about
changes that are revolutionary in the lives of
the children we have worked with. After a dec-
ade of this work, the impact is for all to see—

health, and children who are aware of the choic-
es they have and using the opportunities in the
environment.

those from BMW and Magic Bus,
Munich.
SelectCamp pledged a donation of
20 EUR for every goal shot that
evening. The teams had a very
sporting evening, shooting 87 goals,
jointly fundraising 1740 EUR for
Magic Bus.
Magic Bus Germany looks forward to
initiate more tournaments like this
in different cities in Germany.
