The typical masthead of Sports Illustrated is red but it usually changes color based on the central image. For example, if the central image is a picture of someone

wearing the color red like shown below, the masthead will be red to

match the central image. It also

depends on what type of photo is on

the cover to decide whether or not the masthead is in front or behind the

image.

SI continues to reach more professional/ managerial employees, college educated, and affluent adults with household incomes of $100,000+ than any of its competitors

This Magazine is mainly read by middle aged men(42 years old is the average age).

Some may think that ESPN always has a red masthead, which is primarily there main color for it but not always. The magazine color tends change each month. It varies, but usually the color of the masthead matches with one of the colors of the central image.

ESPN only covers sports stories. Like Sports Illustrated, ESPN covers many different varieties of sports. They also have a body issue, this type of magazine shows certain sports celebrities in “the nude” posing for pictures.

Sports Illustrated Kids has a very similar masthead as the regular Sports Illustrated only it has a small box that says kids under it. Like the other sports magazine, the masthead matches a color on the central image.

56% of the viewers also subscribe to the online magazine.

Sports Illustrated Kids is very similar to the Sports Illustrated magazines except it is kid friendly. For example, the writers use lower level vocabulary and more pictures in the Sports Illustrated Kids version. They also add sports posters and collectable cards to make the kids want the magazine even more.
