Magazine development

By Kyle Parkinson

Page 2: Magazine development

This is my first go at designing the front cover of my magazine. There is a masthead going in a diagonal line following the box behind it. This gives it a creative image to give the magazine a difference to other magazines in it category. Also I have my picture covering two thirds of my magazine which covers most of the space. This really fills out the magazine and doesn’t leave any spaces. And there is a speech bubble to show what the picture means and the story within the picture.

This is my second go at designing the front cover of my magazine. There is still a masthead going in a diagonal line following the box behind it. This gives it a creative image to give the magazine a difference to other magazines in it category. Also I still have my picture covering two thirds of my magazine which covers most of the space. This really fills out the magazine and doesn’t leave any spaces. And there is still a speech bubble except I have increased it’s size but it still shows what the picture means and the story within the picture. In addition I have the date and issue number next to it so people can see exactly what issue their reading and whether it is the most recent one. And I have added the abbreviation of what my magazine name stands for.

And also the abbreviation of what my magazine name stands for is till there, but I have moved them both to individual places. I have changed the background of my magazine to really fill it out and use the whole of it.

There is still the date and issue number next to the picture so people can see exactly what issue their reading and whether it is the most recent one. And also the abbreviation of what my magazine name stands for is till there, but I have moved them back together. I have changed the background of my magazine even further to really fill it out and use the whole of it. The style and quantity of the stripes have changed to represent that the magazine is ‘filled’ with lots of articles. I have also placed a piece of paper underneath my article list to make it stand out more.
