The blue header implys that this magazine is for the male gender. Having a male music starts adds to the emphasis of the magazine being for the male audience. They have there barcode in the left hand corner along with the price. They make the writing in which they want to stand out a brighter colour. The rude gesture shows that they are a unique magazine that do not necessarily stick to the rules.

As you can see form the two magazine covers ‘Blender’ do not stick to the same colours. However the colours they use are more considered as female colour rather then male. In both magazine front covers they have used a female model, both models are revealing parts of their body. This shows that it is for a female audience.

The black and white front cover gives it a gloomy affect . This shows the reader what type of music it is based on. As the model is whipping his hair and is palying a guitar this emphasises the type of music that the magazine is based on. The red writing and header also fits with the dark and gloomy theme as red make people believe as blood.

With this header of this front cover being blue and the fact that an pretty lady showing flesh is on the front page , this shows that the magazine is trying to target males.

The colour are neither for a male or female however most colours are dull , this mean that it would not appeal to the female audience as much as the male audience. It is simple which would also appeal to both audiences and doesn’t look to complicated.

This magazine would appeal to the male audience more as the celebrity is wearing revealing clothes, this would catch the male attention.
