Get to know the work of M&E Engineering

M &E Engineering stands for Mechanical and Electric Engineering. According to Mr Yong , mechanical is the project of work that involved air conditional such as installing air conditional , Air Handling Units , etc , and also fire protection system , for instance , installing Hose Reel , Halogen System , etc. In addition , electrical have different types which are high tension side , medium voltage , low voltage and extra low voltage . Example of Switchboards and Panels that used electrical low voltage are AMF standby Generator Switchboard , air compressor panel , etc .

“ Electrical is very basic , doesn’t have extra innovation in it , no matter how you

innovated in , electrical is still electrical , can’t add anything else ….”

Who is the main inspector of all the pro-ject that you have?

The inspector of the work done is the project manager .

During the interview day , unfortunately , I was absent due to personal problem . My group member have

recorded the interview in video . So , I get the information from the video that they had record .

Firstly , I would like to thank my lecture who was always a understanding . Then , I would like to

thanks my group member because they helped me a lot in my individual work .

In this interview , my group member interview our key person - Mr Yong , the Executive Director of

MCC Technique Sdn Bhd . During the interview he gave us a lot of extra knowledge , and all these in-

formation he gave is quite useful for us , as a Architecture student. Besides that , he told us the im-

portance of the ability to managing works .

In addition to that , studying M&E Engineering needs a lot of physics and also mathematics . Since

1996 ,Mr Yong involved in this field , so , we can saiy that Mr Yong was a very experience man .

In nut shell , what I learned from Mr Yong are the responsibilities of being an M&E Engineer to guide

and control the workers . Besides , we must able to face challenging in the work and also not to es-

cape from problems . Besides , we must placed the customer needs in first place before the profits when

gain , so that we can get the trust from customers and also to continued the good relationship between

the customer and the business man .
