MIT Group has launched "MIT College of Railway

Engineering and Research" (MITCORER) in Barshi,

Dist. Solapur in 2017. Our Vision is to create future

leaders who would manage and lead powerful

organizations in the emerging corporate landscape.

The curriculum of the programs is railway oriented

and is based on the actual railway practices. Our

facilities and amenities are paired with assignments,

projects, interactive classes and strong industry-

institute rapports which will help to make

Establishment of Maharashtra Academy of

Engineering & Educational Research (MAEER) - a

society and charitable trust - in Pune in 1983 was a

major event in the educational scenario of the city

and the state as well. The sole objective has been to

meet the long-felt need of having a centre of

scientific and educational research which would

meet the technological challenges of the fast

changing world.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

First Year Engineering

Ÿ For details please refer information brochure of DTE, Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Ÿ MHTCET score conducted by the competent authority of Government of Maharashtra.

Ÿ For all India seats JEE Score is required

Ÿ The students who have passed HSC (STD XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry / Biology / Vocational Subject (Criteria may change as per DTE norms) and secured minimum 50% marks. (45% marks for reserved class category candidates from Maharashtra only).

Direct Second Year Engineering

Ÿ The students who have passed Diploma Course of Engineering or Technology with any branch from the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education with minimum 50% marks and the students who have passed BSc with minimum 50% marks (Mathematics).

Government Seats

Admission process for Government quota seats will be carried out as per the schedule declared by the Directorate Technical Education (Maharashtra State) Mumbai from time to time. Students should refer the web site of DTE, Maharashtra State www.dte.org.in

Ÿ MITCORER has a well-equipped model room displaying various

types of train operating and signaling systems used in Indian

Railways.

Ÿ In this model room, various technical information such as Railway

Track, Rail Signal System, Rail Bridges, Flyovers, Railway Crossing

and Railway Automatic Gate System is available to the students.

From this students are able to understand various manufacturing

processes, mechanisms and Railway Standards used in Railways.

Ÿ Also, our students are involved in creation of informative Posters

on Railways and railway models.

Ÿ The scale models include locomotives, rolling stock, tracks,

signaling and landscapes including: countryside, roads, bridges,

buildings, vehicles, urban landscape, model figures, lights, and

features such as rivers, hills, etc.

Ÿ Here replica of three types of train and Pandharpur Railway

Station are created. Railway modelling uses a variety of scales

(ratio between the real world and the model) to ensure scale

models look correct when placed next to each other.

Ÿ There is a particular focus on small group teaching, with the tutorial, guest lectures, seminars, assignments, and biweekly classroom tests with continual assessment being a major part of our delivery methods

Ÿ The First Year Engineering Department at MITCORER aspires to impart quality education with individual care to all the students and also plays an active role in their overall development.
