Malagasy Tours created this authentic mobilecamp of 20 tents of charm, an original concept todiscover Madagascar,
Our camping was studied and designed to have the most reduced possible impact in term of nuisances towards the environment.
This camp wants the most ecological possible with its showers warmed in the solar energy, its restricts some wood and the use of the domestic gas.The chemicals of toilet are for the European standards and « environmentally friendly »The use of solar panels is for the study to provide our lighting.The camping staff is concerned by its presence on the site and works in narrow collaboration with village community which accommodates it.
Women and men are recruited in the installation and in the functioning of the structure for a period of our stay. In recognition of their hospitality and so that all take advantage of our presence, of donations in kind (rice, oil, school, agricultural equipment etc.) is offered to the village through Fokontany ( the rustic authority).
We work by these ways in a durable, fair, united and responsible tourism.
African Camp moved more gladly nearby national parks to enjoy the visits and excursions offered by these exceptional sites. Note that 50% of admission in the park donated by ANGAP (National Association for the Management of Protected Areas) in the surrounding village communities to fund development.

Ventilation : 3 windows with mosquito nets and folding sectors + aerations on the roof
On the ground : The groundsheet is shown solidarity with the tent by wide strips ofVelcro preventing insects or the others unwanted from penetrating into the roomDouble or twin : the configuration of the room can be modified as needed : or 2 singlebeds for a twin or double bed for a double room.The bedding consists of a big bed (180 x 200) or of two small beds (90 x 200), of amattress foams of quality high density (10 cms in thickness) + cotton sheets (belowand above) + cover + pillows. A top of bed colored and cheerful recovers the set.Every bed is equipped with an adapted mosquito net.Accessories: two small bedside tables on both sides of the bed. Suspended wooden rods act as servant. Two system stands with luggage in the entrance to deposit suitcases.A wooden safe locking for the personal effects of the clients.Bathroom: in the entrance of the tent, a tripod equipped with a washbasin, with an attractive mirror and with a tablet allow the small ablutions.Stationery: we supply soap and biological shampoo (produced by Bio Aroma), as well as hand towels. Lighting : electric light inside the tent. A bulb of 25 W is hidden in a small lantern.Terrace: a linen canopy equipped with two comfortable armchairs, alsoin painting, offers to the travelers a moment of relaxation in the shadow.
The living room of African CampIt consists of 4 big parasols in rosewood of 12m ² each (4m x 3m) is a surface covered with 48 m ². Colored tissues dress the ceiling. On the ground, according to the ground, vegetable mats cover all the surface. A cloth partition multicolored protect from the sun. Seats in palaver ( African type) put here and there, are convenient to the conversation.A sideboard proposes in the evening aperitifs and nibbles.
The selection of music CD of the world is at your disposal as well as gamesof cards, ladies, failures.
and the dinning room It is under the wide white painting that is laid the table (80 m² covered).Tables covered with tablecloths and on tablecloths colored and equippedwith comfortable garden chairs are raised for the meals.Candlesticks give an intimate atmosphere to the set.
MadagascarToilets in African CampTen showersThe bush are installed behind of the tents.The shower tray in enamel is put on a duck-boards of varnished wood.Bags of black cover take the sun for the morning and assure a warm water for the evening ablutions.The 15 liter water tank allows a complete shower. It is equipped with a soap dish, with a wooden tablet, with a coat rack, of one door-towel. The lighting is assured by a lamp in petroleum
Three personsare permanently allocated to the water supply and to the maintenance of these sanitary unities.
Ten chemical toiletsAre installed in behind of the tents. Mark THERTFORD ( www.thetford-europe.com ) and type Porta Potti 365. Equipped with manual flush, these toilet are easy to use and very reliable. The same model equips most of the campers in Europe.The appropriate products (AquaKem Blue and AquaRince) are used. They are biodegradable and harmless for the environment.
The kitchen in African CampIt articulates around the equipped truck. A leader and his two assistants work on the preparation of the meals. The kitchen consists of two tables of preparation, of kitchen sink, racks. It is equipped with a big freezer.A tent blind allows to store food shielded from the dust and from the sun. Big professional iceboxes and big blocks of ice allow the fresh drinks.The cooking is made on the campfire and the coal for grills, on gas cookersfor the rest –

And lightingSoundproofs generating sets of 1 Kva each assure the lighting of the wholecamp.Every tent possesses its light, the dining room and the living room areequipped with lampposts and with bulbs with lampshade.The outside is enlightened by composed lampposts here and there.Kerosene lamps are installed in showers and toilets as well as on their roadsof access.A table equipped with multiprises enable customers to recharge batteries fortheir cameras or mobile phones.A solar installation is being considered. Very soon the whole camp will belighting via photo voltaic panels mounted on the roof of the truck.Small generators are then used for the recharging of batteries for apparels'travelers.
MadagascarThe transport in African CampDespite all this, let us not forget that the African Camp is amobile camp!
Few vehicles allows us to move all the equipment of the camp and the team does. These are:
Mercedes 1017 truck with trailer 4x4 turbo Mercedes UNIMOG truck 4x4 with trailer Vehicle 4x4 Toyota Hilux double cab Depending of the size of the group, we will use an extra Mercedes truk.
The 1017 Mercedes truck and trailer are equipped to receive, once on site, cooking equipment and store. Toyota is for supplies and logistics.
The securityTo live our lives peacefully in the camp, the African side is kept dayand night by a team of professional security guard company thatmoves from Antananarivo with the team.File information on MGS : Madagascar Gardiennage Services on request.
