CALLING ALL STUDENTS!!!It’s that time of the year, event and festival season is gearing up and the Mad Ferret creative team are already hard at work to bring the heart, soul and magic to events across the UK and Europe.

Want to gain experience designing for UK & Europe’s lead-ing events & festivals, as well as working alongside pioneering brands and organisations?

Building new installations can be a fun and exciting venture, but its a demanding job! We’re therefore looking for enthusiastic and talented individuals to join our crew of Ferrets in helping us grow as a leading creative production agency.

Company Overview:Mad Ferret Productions are a London based creative production com-pany specialising in live events. We are an umbrella organisation for 4 differing strands:

MF LIVE: * Interactive experiences conception* Hosting of multi sensory immersive events* Designing marketing campaigns involving street teams, social media, hand to hand, networking, etc.

MF CREATIVE:* Bringing concepts & ideas to life.* Concept creation: Creative briefs, Mood-boarding, Brainstorming, Bud-geting,* Design, Fabrication & Installation of structures, sculptures, stages, art installations & more

MF PRODUCTION:* Bridge the gap between artistic concept and practical execution.* Management including; Logistics, transport, crewing, budget control, product sourcing, stock management, risk assessments, structural calculations, site planning

MF AGENCY:Talent Hire agencySourcing and managing performers of all description including ; Circus, Theatrical, Musical

Services:We offer a wide range of services for our clients from event management to brand activations, as well as operating our own projects. We do a large portion of our design and fabrication in-house, across all projects. Below are some examples of some type of project we are involved in;

Creative Directorship events such as:* Parklife Festival, UK * Hideout Festival, Croatia* Unknown Festival, Croatia* Snowboxx Festival, Andorra/France* Annie Macs Lost & Found Festival, Malta

Designed and engineered large scale art installations such as:* Rocket Crash Site @ Kendall 2014* The Pyromid @ Glade Festival 2012* The Treehouse @ Parklife 2010-Present

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:We are offering a voluntary work placement in design for either a graduate or student. Food and trav-el expenses are covered. The role duration will be a month minimum, with scope to continue on for a longer period of time. We are offering this opportunity for serious applicants seeking to:* Gain experience designing for UK and Europe’s largest events and organisations * Get an insight into to the industry* Add to CV, portfolio and professional development* Network and make contacts within the industry* See their design ideas transformed into reality

You would be joining the team in our London workshop. Typical duties may include:* Working with; CNC routing, laser cutting, welding, woodworking, casting, painting & sculpting. * Working alongside professional designers and fabricators on interesting assignments* Overseeing/Assisting projects in the workshop through to installation * Site installation for certain events and festivals’

Personal Specification:* Studying a related degree such as Graphic Design, 3D or 2D Design, Set or Theatre Design* practical and uses initiative* Creativity and Imagination* Self-motivated with a solid work ethic* Team working skills* Has experience with 2D or 3D design software such as Illustrator, Rhino, Solid Works, Sketchup, etc
