Worldwide adaptation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) framework and enhanced focus on higher- order learning and professional skills necessitates paradigm shift in traditional practices of curriculum design, education delivery and assessment. In recent years, worldwide sweeping reforms are being undertaken to bring about essential changes in engineering education in terms of what to teach( content) and how to teach( knowledge delivery) and how to assess (student learning). Student assessment plays a very important role in deciding the quality of education. The academic quality of examinations (question papers) in Indian engineering education system has been a matter of concern since long time. At this juncture, reforms in examinations are critical for the improvement of the quality and relevance of Indian engineering education. Outcome-Based Education (OBE)
Globalization of the world economy and higher education are driving profound changes in engineering education system. Worldwide adaptation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) framework and enhanced focus on higher-order learning and professional skills necessitates paradigm shift in traditional practices of curriculum design, education delivery and assessment. CHAIN TECHNOLOGY AT MACET. PATNA
About the Event- One day seminar on “Introduction to
Block Chain” was organized by Department of CSE,
MACET, Patna on 02/02/2020 (Sunday) from 10.30 AM to
1.00 PM at New seminar Hall building.
Prof. (Dr.) Asim Kumar (Director, MACET) welcomed the
Key note speaker of the seminar Dr. Raju Halder
(Assistant Professor, Dept. of CSE, IIT Patna). Afterward
Prof. (Dr.) Md. Masood Ahmad (Dean Academic, MACET)
briefly introduced about MACET. Later on Mr. Aamir J
Ahmad (Asst. Prof, CSE) emphasized on the importance
and objectives of the seminar.
Dr. Halder gave a powerful presentation on Block Chain
technology and its importance. He was simply
outstanding during his presentation. He explained
various key attributes of the technology. He also explained
about how Block Chain Technology has transformed itself
into a leading software platform for digital assets where
the technology is implemented in various real-time
applications viz. Digital identity, Digital voting and IOT
based applications.
It was a very interactive session. More than hundred students and faculty members were present on this occasion. Participants enquired about the applications and need of this technology in the perspective of the current scenario.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Aamir J Ahmad (Assistant professor, CSE).
THREE DAYS HARMONY WORKSHOP ON SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, SOCIETY AND ETHICS AT NIT PATNA
(7th -9th February, 2020)
Event: THREE DAYS HARMONY WORKSHOP AT NIT PATNA
About the Event- A Three day workshop was organized from (07th - 09th) February, 2020 at NIT Patna under TEQIP III on “SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, SOCIETY AND ETHICS”. The program was inaugurated by Sri P.K Jain (Director NIT
Patna) and Prof. L.B. Ray Dean (R&C) and (Professor,
Department of Civil Engineering, NIT Patna).
The resource persons of this workshop were Prof. Rajeev
Sangal (IIIT Hyderabad), Dr. Amrendra Kumar (Department
of Mining Engineering IIT BHU, Varanasi) and Dr. Yogesh
Kumar (Asst. Prof., Department of Mech. Engineering, NIT,
Patna) respectively.
The workshop was aimed at addressing the role of ethics in
Higher Education Institutions and the importance of
reaffirming institutional values and responsible leadership.
The workshop dealt with ethical issues in the day-to-day
work of the institute and how to communicate to the entire
staff and secure their commitment to more ethical
behaviors. At the institutional level, the workshop provides
guidance on management tools.
The outcome of the workshop was to realize once duty and

Event: - TWO DAYS PROJECT PRESENTATION FOR FINAL YEAR
2016 (B) CONDUCTED BY CSE DEPARTMENT.
About the Event- The project presentation was conducted for CSE Final year students of 2016 batch by CSE department.
Prof. (Dr.) Md. Masood Ahmad (Dean Academic), Mr. H.H. Mansoori (Project coordinator), Dr. Shraddha Pandit (HOD, CSE) and all teaching & Non-teaching staff of CSE Department were present on that occasion.
Different group of students presented their project work with the help of PPT. Dean Academic motivated the students to participate in the nation’s building using their technocratic brains.

STUDENTS CONDUCTED BY EC E DEPARTMENT AT MACET
(11TH February, 2020)
Event: - ONE DAY PROJECT PRESENTATION FOR B.TECH FINAL
YEAR 2016 (B) CONDUCTED BY ECE DEPARTMENT.
About the Event- The project presentation was organized for the final year students of ECE on 11th February, 2020 from 11 AM onwards in the Department of Electronics & Communication.
Respected Director Prof. (Dr.) Asim Kumar, Dean Academics Prof. (Dr.) Md. Masood Ahmad, Mr. Md. Naushad Akhtar (Project coordinator), Dr. Tajuddin Ali Ahmad (HOD, ECE) and all teaching & Non-teaching staffs of ECE Department were present on that occasion.
Different groups of students presented progress report of their project work with the help of PPT. Dean Academics acted upon as the torch bearer by showing students the future prospects of their respective projects and the challenges they are likely to meet in achieving the desired results.
Respected Director also motivated the students to do the live projects.
TWO DAYS NATIONAL WORKSHOP ON INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS AND PATENTS (IPRP-2020) AT NIT PATNA
(17th -18th February, 2020)
Event: TWO DAYS NATIONAL WORKSHOP ON IPRP-2020 AT NIT
PATNA
About the Event- A Two day workshop was organized from (17th -18th) February, 2020 at NIT Patna under TEQIP III sponsored by Ultra Tech cement on “Intellectual property rights and patents” from 10:00 AM onwards. The participants on behalf of MACET, PATNA were Prof. (Dr.) Md. Masood Ahmad (Dean Academic, MACET) & Md. Nadeem Enam (Asst. Prof, Dept. of ECE, MACET). A Welcome note was given by Prof. L.B. Roy, Dean (R&C) and Convener
(IPRP-2020 WORKSHOP) NIT, PATNA. Prof. S. K. Verma (Deputy Director,
NIT Patna) introduced all the resource persons. Mr. Verma showed his
keen interest for the successful conduct of the workshop..
Afterward, the resource person Prof. Raman Saravanane (HOD, CE, Pondicherry Engg. College) took the lead and started the session through his power point presentation. He was highly energetic and knowledgeable person who was just outstanding during his interaction with the participants. In his presentation, he shared various key information related to the Intellectual property rights & patents. Afterward Dr. Parijat Saurabh (Deputy Controller of patents and Designs, Patent office, Kolkata) started his session in which he emphasized more on the key attributes of patent filing. He discussed in detail the importance of various aspects of Intellectual property rights. Mr. Saurabh had also shared several case study of patent filing. Later on Dr. Rajiv Kumar Singh (Assistant controller of patents and Designs, IPR Patent office, Delhi) continued the session in which he showed some motivational videos related to IPRP and explained them briefly. He shared some of the live incidents which took place in his Delhi office during patent filing by the person/ organization. Mr. Singh also shared some of the very important tips for the new client to file a patent. Overall the workshop was extremely good and very informative. Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. S.K. Suman (Organizing secretary, IPRP-2020, NIT PATNA).
TWO DAYS PROJECT PRESENTATION FOR THE B.TECH 3RD YEAR
STUDENTS CONDUCTED BY CSE DEPARTMENT AT MACET
(29th February & 3rd March 2020)
Event: - TWO DAYS PROJECT PRESENTATION FOR 3RD YEAR
2017 (B) CONDUCTED BY CSE DEPARTMENT.
About the Event- The project presentation was conducted for Third year students of CSE 2017 batch by CSE department. Prof. (Dr.) Md. Masood Ahmad (Dean Academic), Mr. Rakesh Ranjan (Project coordinator), Dr. Shraddha Pandit (HOD, CSE) and all teaching & Non-teaching staff of CSE Department were present on that occasion.
Different group of students presented their project work with the help of PPT. Students have performed exceptionally well. They had come up with their own innovative project and explained them in quite comfortable manure.
Overall the seminar was very informative. Dean Academic advised the students how to write the project report.
