Welcome to our first edion of our PE and sport newsleer. The sports media team who will be publishing this newsleer are: Georgina Bailey, Eboni Pashley, Caitlin Gillman and the photographers: Emily Oke, Kaleigh Watson, Lily Leversley and Ruby Stead. This edion will be featuring the year 10 netball team, a Jack Price interview, acve form me bench ball results, leadership opportunies, term 3 extra curricular programme and much, much, more! We will be publishing the newsleer every school term. Thanks for reading! willing them to do their best. Heritage had success with the junior boys and intermediate girls winning the team event. Louise Cocking came 1 st in the intermediate girls, Rhys Cunnington 2 nd in the year 7 boys, Lucy Forrest 3 rd in the intermediate girls and Joel Whiaker Naylor 3 rd in the Intermediate boys. Our overall posioning was 2 nd which was 8 points clear of 3 rd place. The annual district cross country compeon was held on Friday 8 th December at Mount St Mary’s. The compeon featured 5 schools from our local area including Heritage High. It was a very cold day but perfect for cross country. The course varied in distance with the inter boys running two laps of the cross country course. The atmosphere was amazing with students cheering on other students, Students who have qualified for the county championships on the 20 th January at Tupton hall school are : Louise Cocking, Rebecca Haersley, Lucy Forrest, Elizabeth Powell, Maggie Ann Grant, Julia Drayco, Krise Marshall, Harry Cocking, Joel Whiaker Naylor, Kallum Clarkson, Jack Wort, Charlie Ward, Dylan Coam, Tyler Priestley-Dunn, Carl Bradley ,Max Benne & Lewis Longden Name: Jack Price Year: 11 Sport: Swimming What sports do you enjoy? I enjoy most sports. I parcularly enjoy the physical team sports. When and why did you get into your parcular sport? I started swimming when I was eleven as I was doing a life guards course. I wanted a sport which would help me develop my fitness. What’s been your best achievement so far in your sporng career? I was a naonal finalist in the English naonals 2017. What awards have you achieved? I was nominated for Bolsover district sportsman of the year. I was the runner up in this compeon. What are the next steps for you?
