We have completed projects for International Design Teams, Fortune 500 Companies and Globally recognised household brand names. It was their belief in us that has now allowed us to grow our company to become the International Business we are today with established offices across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe.

Historically, we serviced the European market and our Europe wide clients by hiring locally and managing remotely from Ireland. We have since made the conscious business decision that any real growth in those markets merited a committment from ustobe there, on the ground.

We therefore established ourselves at fully staffed local offices in London and Prague and are building up a team of high calibre, multi-disciplined construction professionals. We hand pick the best to ensure our level of service is always first rate.

Our aim is to turnover €40M in the next 12 months across all operating regions. We would have the immediate in-house capability to handle projects in Ireland up to an individual size of €15M.

Our 3 year look-ahead is to reach an annual turnover of €50M.

Our Commitments

Page 13: mac-interiors brochure August 2012

ISO 9001 Accreditation means that we can ensure overall quality in line with international benchmark standards. ISO 9001 is by far the world’s most established quality framework, currently being used by around 897,000 organizations in 170 countries worldwide, and sets the standard not only for quality management systems, but management systems in general. At mac-interiors the delivery of projects on time, within budget and to the highest standard is not an added bonus, it is the centre point around which we have built our company. We are committed to innovation, change and progress in everything that we do. Our objective of consistent high quality performance is met through continuous staff development together with the provision of modern resources to meet the requirements of any project. We are privileged to have talented and highly skilled employees with each team member possessing strong work ethics, honesty and integrity and who fully believe in the work they are entrusted to perform on behalf of our clients. Our people deliver innovative solutions by combining technical skill and experience with an understanding of your objectives and aspirations.

Crucially our ability to get even the most complex projects right, first time, has encouraged these clients to work with us time and time again. Our ultimate aim is to ensure loyalty by providing services of the highest quality. This is achieved by a continuous process of quality improvement and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

For our efforts in improving environmental standard both on site and in-house, mac-interiors is proud to be ISO 14001 accredited. Clients seek to work with professional advisors who operate in an environmentally responsible manner. At mac-interiors you will not only find an organisation which promotes environmental awareness but also a company that is committed to exceeding compliance with all applicable legal requirements where environmental issues are concerned. We consider effective waste management to be our greatest challenge for the future. On all of our projects we aim to achieve minimum production of waste and the maximum amount of resource recycling. This process involves diverting as much as 75% of waste from landfill sites by segregating as much waste onsite as possible. The company employs only certified waste handlers to remove waste from site for further segregation and recycling. A shift in client and public expectation has led to a demand for higher performance from buildings in terms of minimising environmental impact and providing a healthier environment for the occupants. ‘Green’ or high performance buildings are intended to be environmentally responsible, economically profitable and healthy places to work. This is why mac-interiors have taken the bold step of having all of our project managers become LEED® Accredited.

LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the internationally recognised standard for environmentally sustainable construction and mac-interiors was the first Full Service Interiors Contractor in Ireland to achieve the accreditation process.

Sustainability

Quality

Health & SafetyAs part of our ongoing commitment to achieving the best in Health & Safety standards we have undertaken and excelled in the OHSAS 18001 Accreditation process. OHSAS 18001 is an international occupational health and safety management system specification. Central to OHSAS requirements are strong policies and procedures which must be upheld in order to achieve the standard. By having this accreditation our clients can rest assured that our processes for managing Health & Safety are benchmarked against an internationally accredited system. Most companies will tell you that they will comply with all legislation where health and safety issues are concerned. At mac-interiors we go above and beyond complying with legislation. We have the enviable record of only having had a single reportable health and safety incident on any of our sites since the inception of the company.

To put it in context, that is one accident from over 6,000,000 man hours on sites spread over 10 years, an achievement brought about by our commitment to safe systems at work and one that we have been recognised for at numerous industry awards. The way we work is constantly changing and evolving. We are a dynamic company that embraces new working practices so in order for us to maintain our own high standards we have the services of an independent health and safety consultant to keep us abreast of any changes in legislation or training requirements and who also conducts regular site safety inspections to supplement our own weekly in house inspections.

Page 14: mac-interiors brochure August 2012

There is no “typical” client for mac-interiors. We have worked with Fortune 500 companies, startups and all sizes in between. Despite the diverse nature of our clients they all share common themes: they have projects that cannot fail, they need someone dependable to rely on and they want to see results. Below is a list of some of the companies that we have put our vast experience and deep knowledge of the industry to good use for:

mac-interiors was brought on board to manage the fit out of the firm’s new office space located in the heart of Belfast.

The fit out entailed taking the space from CAT A to CAT B. Due to the extent of works involved and the critical importance of the handover date a focus on teamwork was implemented by the MAC site management team, enlisting our sub contractor partners to really pull together for the good of our client. The workplace design incorporated an open plan environment that was supplemented by perimeter management suites, meeting rooms and a large document storage area.

Grant Thornton staff and clients are greeted with a striking curved wall that leads them into the reception area where a feature desk awaits. Off the main reception area are a number of meeting rooms that were formed using an advanced glazed partitioning system to provide a solid acoustic barrier. Even though this project was challenging by both design and also in terms of programme, all works were completed ahead of schedule, which enabled the early mobilization of the client’s moves teams.

“We’re extremely lucky and blessed that we haven’t had to work with any other contractors before. We’ve seen and heard horror stories where it has been three times as much in cost and three times as long to complete. The most important thing about mac-interiors was their accountability and ownership”

For those who know, Brasserie Le Pont is a lunch and supper haunt of the highest quality set inside a historic Georgian building.

The ground floor of the historic building had previously housed meeting rooms and offices. The refurbishment had to be carried out with sensitivity and meticulous attention to period detail, so that as well as creating an attractive functioning wine bar and restaurant, mac-interiors restored the building’s original grandeur and majestic scale.

The Graduate is an iconic bar in South Dublin. A landmark in the area and an established institution with the locals. The original building was completely destroyed in a fire and rebuilt from the foundations up. The build comprised of the formation of new strip foundations to support the erection of a steel framed structure with new internal and external walls with subsequent full interior fit-out.

Central to the ambition of creating a luxurious environment, the design required the procurement of suppliers and trade contractors from a diverse range of specialities. The mac-interiors team ensured a fluid and progressive transition from concept through to opening. Works involved full interior fit out of over 20,000 sqft of leisure space including all new decoration, installation of lift shafts and full electrical and data wiring to newly formed

function rooms, construction of a new heated terrace area and installation of full professional catering facilities and domestic plumbing. One of the key design parameters on the project was the high quality joinery installation to the bar and lounge areas and how such quality could be incorporated into a fast moving working environment.
